    Opening a New Chapter

    Hello, and welcome to the show! We have begun a new journey into season two of Lambert in Real Time, and who better to start it off than Coach Bass as the guest! We are beyond excited to share with you what Lambert has in store for this semester that we never had in previous years. We reflect on the past on all we have accomplished, and discuss what 2020 was like for us.     Lasting Memories W/ Mrs. Wilson

    For the majority of us, this year has brought us new challenges that we had to face. At Lambert, our clubs have also felt that impact on them, and one of the largest clubs that support Lambert activity is Student Council. Along with creating new events and adjustments to look forward to, student council faces last minute obstacles from the ever changing social distancing guidelines. We listen to Mrs. Wilson go over what it has been like during Homecoming week and new plans we can plan to be a part of over the next couple of weeks. As old traditions get a make over, Lambert student council is making the best out of it all.

    !New series alert!  Coach Bass and Claire Lee will get together in a casual conversation once or every other month to go over anything fantastic that happened here at Lambert or get insight on any new developments coming up in the coming weeks!     Patient Pups w/ Dr. Johnessee

    One this week's episode, Claire Lee and Dr. Johnessee discuss about the four therapy dogs here at Lambert and how they came to be. As one of the assistance principals, Dr. Johnessee became a critical part in advocating to bring the therapy dogs, Duck, Clover, Charlie, and Maggie. Mental health playing a huge aspect in our daily lives this year, we cover how these dogs have helped our students and staff feel comforted anytime they are stressed. Now, as  a prominent figure in our Lambert culture,  these once puppies have trained hard to become the lovely helpers they are today. Making their influence outside of the exceptional students program, this episode is a part 2 of the previous with Mrs. Nicoletti. Dr. Johnessee also goes over the differences in Service and Therapy dogs to help our community be more aware how to approach both types of dogs while they are hard at work.

    Our peers in the Lambert's Exceptional students program has been facing some changes that they are unwavered by. On this week's episode your host, Claire Lee, talks to Mrs. Nicoletti about her students and what is has been like overcoming new challenges and meeting new expectations in terms of social distancing guidelines. Discussions on how, despite some events being cancelled, the students find new ways to use their skills and smile their way through some of the new barriers with masks, distanced learning, and many more. Also, how has their class' therapy dog, Duck,  helped them and everyone at lambert stay positive?

    A New Connection w/ Ms. Do

    With an ever growing Longhorn family, new members come and go. This year, one of the new counselors, Ms. Diana Do has been face with new challenges with seeing her students. Being a new counselor brings up many responsibilities like working on student schedules over the summer and doing her best to transition smoothly into the Lambert environment. In this week's episode, we will get to know a little more about how Ms. Do came to be a counselor, how she has been settling in at our school, and what changes the counseling team had to endure through this past summer break and the first month into school. Face masks, shields, and plexiglass screens and all, how will counseling change with students being online, in school, or part time?

    Helping Hands w/ Lambert HOSA

    HOSA has always been one of the largest clubs at Lambert with passionate members running each event or activity. With hundreds of members, social distancing is taking a toll on their year. On this week's episode, we interview the new HOSA president, Isabel Goldsmith, on how this year's officers and advisors have worked to make HOSA a great experience for all, both members and the community. Lambert having such a large healthcare department, the rest of the school looks up to them as role models during a time where masks and sanitization is first. How is HOSA getting ready to face the year?

    Making things work w/ Lambert iGEM

    Team work makes the dream... over Zoom? The Lambert iGEM team always have worked together in a Lab or a classroom to create their project, but this year their plans had to change to respect social distancing guidelines. Working around what they were given, on this episode we learn about how their projects have been going despite being apart. With makeshift home labs and sketchy equipment drop offs, our iGEM team has tried their best to replicate their lab settings through video calls and group chats. Listen in to this episode to see exactly how they have been getting around these barriers and rising above.

    The New Football Drill w/ Coach Watson

    A major event that goes on during the beginning of our school year is the Football season. With hundreds of students directly and indirectly involved in football, what would this year look like with these new guidelines? On this episode, we meet the new head football coach, Coach Watson, and how he sees this season of football playing out. With new techniques of communication and ways of practicing, we learn how that has effected the team. Many other events and group activities depend on the football season's schedule, so Coach Watson gives his perspective of how the Lambert Year will look in terms of football-related activities.
