Episode 64: When Rejection Rocks Your Confidence

Send us Fan Mail Rejection has a way of hitting deeper than we expect—it doesn’t just close doors, it can shake how we see ourselves. In this episode, the Locas get real about the moments that made them question their worth, their calling, and their confidence. From missed opportunities to feeling overlooked or misunderstood, we unpack how rejection can either break you… or build you. This isn’t just about what didn’t work out— it’s about what God is doing through it. We talk about: • How rejection impacts your identity and self-worth • The lies we start to believe when doors close • Learning to separate God’s “no” from personal failure • Rebuilding confidence rooted in who God says you are • Why rejection is often redirection and protection Rejection may have shaken you… but it doesn’t get to define you. God is not rejecting you—He’s refining you. If you’ve ever felt overlooked, dismissed, or not enough, this conversation is for you. Your confidence isn’t found in acceptance from people—it’s found in your identity in Christ. What if the very thing that hurt you… is the thing God will use to grow you? Episode 62: Time to Declutter | Tea Time with Las Locas

Send us Fan Mail What was almost taken away… became a moment to savor. In Episode 62, Jessica and Alexa sit down for a beautiful and intentional experience at the Golden Rose Tea Room in Amarillo, Texas—slowing down, sipping tea, and leaning into what truly matters. This episode is filled with heart, reflection, and a much-needed call to declutter our lives—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. As they share tea, they also share pieces of their past… Jessica reflects on childhood days in Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx and simple moments with her dad at White Castle—memories that remind us that joy was never found in abundance, but in togetherness. Alexa recalls time spent with her siblings—playing at their dad’s job and the playground across the street—where the greatest memories were made simply by being present. Back then, life was simpler. And somehow… fuller. Now, life is loud. Busy. Distracted. Jessica opens up about motherhood—beach days, Wendy’s chicken nuggets, and meeting “Daddy” for lunch—and the realization she carries now: “If I could tell my younger self anything, it would be—enjoy your kids more. The dishes can wait.” Because life moves fast. And the moments we rush through… are often the ones that matter most. In this episode, we talk about: • The distractions stealing your peace and joy • The pressure to rush, strive, and “get ahead” • Why we often miss the beauty of what God has already given us • A word to young women—dream, explore, and enjoy your life before the next season comes • The importance of being present in the now This is your reminder: You only get one youth. One moment. One now. So what is robbing you of your rest? Your peace? Your ability to enjoy what God has placed right in front of you? It’s time to declutter. Simple ways to start savoring the moment: 1. Breathe Every breath is a reminder of God’s presence. Even in the quiet, you are sustained. There is healing in simply breathing. 2. Be Grateful Gratitude shifts your perspective and anchors your heart in truth. Even when life doesn’t look how you expected— this is not rejection… it may be promotion. Trust the Lord. Slow down. And savor the moment. 🎧 Listen on all podcast platforms 📺 Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMSWipm740QEEXm73Fv2zDg 🛍️ Get merch & support the podcast: https://laslocaschronicles.com #LasLocasPodcast #TeaTimeWithLasLocas #DeclutterYourLife #BePresent #FaithInAction #Season4

Episode 61: Love Your Neighbor | The Locas Hit the White House

Send us Fan Mail In this powerful Season 4 premiere, the Locas take Washington, D.C. as they step into spaces of advocacy and awareness—learning what it truly means to stand for and serve the Latino and immigrant community with both compassion and conviction. A year ago, Dr. Jessica began to feel a deep stirring in her heart—to speak up for those who are often overlooked, mistreated, or unheard. In this episode, we unpack that journey and wrestle with the tension of honoring the laws of the land while still treating every human being with dignity, respect, and honor. This conversation goes beyond politics—it goes straight to the condition of our hearts. We talk about: • What it means to truly love your neighbor—especially those who are different from you • Why no one should have to live in fear • Personal stories of growing up feeling different—from accents to appearance • The call for believers to be a voice for the vulnerable • How fear is shaping the heart of our nation—and how love must respond • The biblical foundation of advocacy, from cities of refuge to the life of Moses • How Jesus Himself modeled a life of movement, mission, and mercy From the halls of influence to everyday life, this episode challenges us to reflect: Is your heart moved by what breaks God’s heart? Jesus gave us a clear command—to love God and to love our neighbors. This isn’t optional. It’s our assignment. As believers, we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus—bringing healing, restoration, and hope in a divided world. This is not about politics. This is about people. This is about love. So the question is: What is Jesus calling YOU to do in your community? 🎧 Listen on all podcast platforms 📺 Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMSWipm740QEEXm73Fv2zDg 🛍️ Get merch & support the podcast: https://laslocaschronicles.com

    Episode 57: Content vs. Complacent

Send us Fan Mail In this fun and honest episode, recorded live from Valore Bar & Grill, the Locas dive into a real question many believers wrestle with: Are you content… or just complacent? While celebrating the near completion of the Locas Studio, Jessica and Alexa talk about how God gives supernatural strength to fulfill every assignment He calls you to — and how often we already have everything we need to walk in His will. They unpack the difference: Contentment is gratitude and trust in GodComplacency is getting stuck and settlingThe conversation gets real as they discuss complacency in marriages, ministry, personal growth, and everyday life. Sometimes we ask God for more while struggling to steward what we already have. Through laughter, memories (including Alexa’s green Ford Escort days), and personal testimonies of leading through pain, this episode reminds us: Gratitude isn’t based on circumstancesEven rock bottom can become a launching pointEndurance is part of faithGod prepares you through the hard seasonsSometimes you discover your strength only when you’re testedJessica shares insights from preaching through pain, while Alexa opens up about leading while hurting and how God expanded her capacity during difficult moments. This episode will encourage you to: Appreciate the small blessingsStay grateful in chaotic seasonsTrust God while you waitKeep moving forward without losing peaceBecause contentment keeps your heart right — but complacency keeps you stuck. And one year from now? You just might be saying, “Look what God did.”
