Latitune is an ongoing experiment in listening. Each episode is a raw field recording from a specific place, marked by its latitude, longitude, and date. Утро на стройке. Запись сделана в спальном районе в конце марта. Люди просыпаются, на стройке возводят леса, городская дымка окутывает небо.Мир вокруг. Без комментариев, только звук. Morning at a construction site. Recorded in a residential district at the end of March. People are waking up, scaffolding is being raised on the site, and urban haze wraps around the sky. The world around you. No narration, just sound.

Посреди города. Запись сделана в небольшом сквере в декабре. Машины нервно пробираются по узким улочкам, люди пытаются найти минуту спокойствия в городской суете.Мир вокруг. Без комментариев, только звук. In the middle of the city. Recorded in a small square in December. Cars edge nervously through narrow streets, while people try to find a moment of calm in the urban rush. The world around you. No narration, just sound.

A winter park in a warm climate. Squirrels actively jump between the trees, gathering food. A baby in a stroller is being sung a lullaby. Toward the end, the sound of a basketball bouncing can be heard from a nearby court. This time I experimentally added a couple of my own ambient compositions. The world around you. No narration, just sound.

An autumn-winter forest. Recorded in a lowland area of the park. Leaves fall with the gusts of wind. Wild animals hunt, while people train, remembering summer. The world around you. No narration, just sound.

The rain is coming to an end. Recorded on a balcony. The last drops keep falling, while cars and people move tirelessly through the puddles, trying to get everything done as planned. The world around you. No narration, just sound.

Cloudy. Recorded by a fountain on the grounds of a shopping mall. Soft background music plays — seemingly meant to encourage browsing and buying. A few visitors wander lazily through the area. The world around you. No narration, just sound.

A clear autumn day. Recorded in the nearby mountains. A pleasant morning chill, golden leaves covering the ground. The city moves on with its rhythm, while nature quietly takes back what’s hers.The world around you. No narration, just sound.

A sunny day. Recorded on a windy viewpoint peak. The steep climb up the stairs rewards visitors with a beautiful view of the surrounding canyon and distant hills. An eco-officer keeps watch at his post, motorcycles and trucks growl as they climb the winding road, and grasshoppers bask in the sunlight. The world around you. No narration, just sound.

A warm, sunny day. This recording was made on a handmade spot deep in the forest — a chair tied to a tree, with a stone slab beneath it. Around me, people wander along nearby trails, and toward the end you’ll hear the sudden roar of a mountain bike passing by. Birds are singing, someone is moving quietly through the bushes, and I walk slowly across the soft spruce-covered ground. Only the world around you. No narration, just sound.

A slightly cloudy but warm day. Recorded on a hilltop in the park: at the entrance a taxi driver was searching for hidden stashes in the bushes, grasshoppers leapt through dry grass, and ants were busy building their nest. Down the slope across the highway, a lonely portable toilet stood in the field. On a nearby mountain, an ancient watchtower overlooked the valley while a funicular car slowly climbed the ridge. Only the world around you. No narration, just sound.
