He served as president of the Quebec Political Science Association (SQSP) in 2022-2023 and as director of the Department of Political Science at Université Laval on two separate occasions (2016-2019 and 2023-2024). From 2006 to 2008, he also edited the journal Politique et Sociétés. Before joining Université Laval in 2004, he taught for six years at the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo). Since the beginning of his career, he has supervised nearly 150 graduate students. A specialist in international political economy, he is the author of more than fifty publications focusing on international economic negotiations, U.S. trade policies, agri-food policies, and geopolitics. He has also conducted research stays at a dozen universities around the world, including Harvard University, the Free University of Brussels, the Peace Research Institute of Oslo (PRIO), Wuhan University, Kimep University and Grenoble-Alpes University.
