    Over 65% of our kids are not reading at grade level. In some cases, 70% of incoming freshmen students are not reading at a college level, and are in remedial courses at college. The lack of integration of cognitive and educational theories of learning. Most schools use kinesthetic learning only a fraction of the time, while worksheet-based learning is standard. Proper sequencing is key to effective literacy instruction. How can we support dynamic shifts in our instruction when what we've implemented isn't as effective as we'd hoped?
