I like the concept of this podcast, but I am worried about how sympathetic Bert seems towards the murderers. Our justice system is very flawed, and many times criminals are not given to tools they need to avoid recidivism, but many death row inmates have an established history of deliberate violence. Please, please be careful writing to these people. Some of them are people that “just made a mistake,” so to speak, but others are professional manipulators. Don’t take everything they say at face value. They know exactly how to garner your sympathy and support. Victims deserve your sympathy and support more than the people who murdered them.
