    {What's trust got to do with it}

    My good friend Traecy Smith and I get on a zoom, and reflect on our journey as friends, our backgrounds, struggles, beliefs, and our understanding of vulnerability. We cover a lot, as we always do, and it may seem like we're talking about one thing when we're really getting at something else entirely. My hope is that in capturing this conversation the audience, can receive and digest some of the many nuggets of wisdom being dropped in this. At the end of the day this episode is really about vulnerability!

    What's the secret ingredient for wedding cake?

    I had my cousin and her fiancee on for a deep dive into what led them to jumping the broom. I think it was a great conversation and a bit different from my usual format. I didn't get to make all the edits I initially envisioned, but I think there's some great takeaways from this. Per usual it's a slow build up, but well worth the journey if you ask me ahah.     The Psychology of Grit

    This episode I talk with my uncle about the concept of grit. What's it mean? Is it something you obtain of achieve? How can you gain more? This one is a slower start because we both started at the end of long days, and had to fight through some initial technical issues. We almost packed it up all together, but that being said sheesh we got DEEP. By the time we're at the 20 min mark we're already in the thick of it, and it just gets deeper and deeper from there. I think if you pay close enough attention you can see our flow and energy change, as we become energized by the profoundness of the conversation we're having. What I think is the most valuable part of doing this podcast (at least currently) is the fact that I get to objectively go back and observe the kind of intimate and in-depth conversations I've had the privilege of having with the different people in my life. I've always considered myself the kind of person who values people, but I think this Podcast allows me to explore, engage, and envelope myself in it from a drastically and uniquely different direction and perspective.

    Are we preaching or podcasting?

    This is the 2nd episode, and I used another previously recorded video from a personal project I did in the past. It's more of a religious group thing I was asked to be apart of for my "unique" takes, and perspectives on the subject haha. I felt moved by the content enough to include it here, because I felt like the way it progressed could offer value to folks outside of that space. Not what things will normally be about, but we did get deep hence the title's play on words. Partly because it felt like a good example video for how deep I want to get, but also to tell a story. This shows me in the past talking about things I struggled to discuss, even by myself. I want anyone who finds this podcast to be able to trace the humble beginnings all the way through to whatever it becomes.
