Now, before we press play, y’all need to understand how we got here. Sam and Dean are monster hunters taught by their father. He raised them while searching for the yellow-eyed demon that killed their mother when Sam was a baby. Now, the yellow eyed demon is gone, but Sam still has the powerful visions the demon gifted him with. He also, died because of this demon. Then, Dean sold his soul to a different demon and instead of the usual 10 year contract, he was only given a single year. All of season 3 is the boys trying and failing to save Dean from this time bomb that is his life now. Instead of previously on, Superntraul has a “Then” moment. Today’s recap lets us know again about the one year time line, the fact that Dean doesn’t want to go to hell and become a demon, and we learn how to kill a few different monsters. Most notable is a jin, a trickster, and our common vengeful spirit. Then we are reminded about the Colt, the gun with the ability to kill anything with one shot. A fellow hunter, Bella, stole it from them. We also, are reminded about Ruby, the blonde demon who is kinda, sorta, maybe with the boys?
