S3 E30 Prove Your Thought Bully Wrong

Send us Fan Mail What if some of the things you've believed about yourself for years… simply aren't true? I'm not confident. I couldn't do that. I'm too anxious. I've always been like this. Say something often enough and eventually it can stop feeling like an opinion and start feeling like a fact. But familiarity isn't the same as truth. In the Season 3 finale of Let's Stop Your Thought Bully, I'm giving you a challenge: prove your Thought Bully wrong. We revisit some of the tools we've built together this season — the Inner Yorkshire Protocol, the Yorkshire Pause, Yorkshire Grit and the Yorkshire Standard — and look at how separating yourself from anxiety can give you back the decision. I'll also ask you one of my favourite questions: What would I choose to do now if I wasn't being pushed around by fear? You don't need to change your whole life today. You don't need to suddenly become fearless or wildly confident. Do one thing differently. Then do it again. Start gathering evidence for the other side — evidence that perhaps you're braver, stronger and more capable than your Thought Bully has allowed you to believe. Your Thought Bully has presented the case for the prosecution for long enough. It's about time the defence got a turn. And when things feel difficult? Well, sometimes you just need a little Yorkshire Grit: It be reet. This is tough. But you are tougher. Thank you for being part of Season 3. ❤️ And remember — you are not alone.  You’re not alone with your Thought Bully — I’m right here with you.  Take your power back today, my lovely. S3 E29 Don't Let the Thought Bully Boo You Off the Stage

Send us Fan Mail Have you ever felt like life has booed you off your own stage? Maybe you've been criticised, misunderstood, laughed at, or made to feel like you don't belong. Perhaps your biggest critic isn't another person at all... it's the voice inside your own head. In this heartfelt episode, Julie shares the remarkable story of Bonnie Tyler's courageous performance at the Reading Festival, where she stood her ground despite facing hostility from the crowd. But this isn't just a story about a famous singer—it's about every one of us. Julie also opens up about her own experiences of living with deafness, ME, anxiety and those painful moments when she felt judged, embarrassed or wanted to disappear. With honesty and compassion, she reminds us that courage isn't about never feeling afraid—it's about refusing to let fear decide how we live. If you've ever wanted to give up, hide away or leave your own stage, this episode is for you. Remember: "The Thought Bully wants you to leave the stage." But you don't have to listen. Because... You are not alone. I am walking alongside you. 🎙️ In this episode you'll discover: • Why the loudest voice isn't always the wisest. • How your Thought Bully tries to make you withdraw from life. • Why confidence usually comes after courage, not before it. • How to stay on your stage, even when life feels overwhelming. If this episode helped you, please follow the podcast, leave a review, or share it with someone who needs to hear that they are stronger than they think. Until next time... Season 3 – Episode 28: Don’t Let Your Future Be Chiselled From Your Past

Send us Fan Mail Have you ever noticed yourself looking for evidence that your worst fears are true? Evidence that people don’t like you… That you’ve said the wrong thing… That you’re not good enough… In this deeply personal episode, I share a major realisation that has changed the way I experience life. I didn’t even know I was constantly searching for evidence to support my Thought Bully—until one day, I realised I’d stopped. The difference has been extraordinary. I’ll explain how years of self-work, guided meditations and changing the messages I was feeding my mind led to a quiet but powerful transformation. I’ll also share why a recent family get-together became one of the happiest I’ve ever experienced, simply because I was able to be present instead of analysing every conversation. If you’ve ever felt trapped by your past or found yourself expecting the worst, this episode is for you. Together, we’ll explore why the evidence your Thought Bully asks you to collect is often completely worthless—and why your future doesn’t have to be chiselled from your past. As we move towards the end of Season 3, I also give you a glimpse of what’s coming in Season 4, where we’ll begin working together to create lasting change, build confidence, and help you experience life with greater freedom and peace. You are not alone.  You’re not alone with your Thought Bully — I’m right here with you.  Take your power back today, my lovely. S3 E27: Your Only Job Today

Send us Fan Mail Do you ever feel overwhelmed by everything that's waiting for you? Next week's jobs. Next month's worries. The endless to-do list that seems to get heavier every day. In this episode, I'm sharing something very personal. I've had one of those weeks where life has been wonderfully busy, but it's left me feeling exhausted. As I sat down to record, I realised there was only one topic I wanted to talk about. Sometimes we make life harder by carrying tomorrow's worries alongside today's responsibilities. I share a simple analogy about carrying a rucksack. Why would you fill today's rucksack with things you won't need until next week? Yet that's exactly what our Thought Bully encourages us to do with our minds. Together we'll explore how focusing on just one day at a time can lift an enormous weight from our shoulders, reduce anxiety, and help us move forward with more calm and confidence. If you're feeling overwhelmed, this episode is your reminder that you don't have to solve your whole life today. Your only job today... is today. Remember: your Thought Bully wants you to look at the whole mountain. You only have to take the next step. If this episode helps you, please follow Let's Stop Your Thought Bully so you always have a place to return when anxiety starts getting loud. Your Energy. On Your Terms.  You’re not alone with your Thought Bully — I’m right here with you.  Take your power back today, my lovely. S3 E26 When Tears Come: Why Crying Isn’t Weakness i

Send us Fan Mail In this heartfelt episode of Let’s Stop Your Thought Bully, Julie answers two listener emails about crying—one from someone who has always cried easily and worries it makes them look weak, and another from someone who wanted to comfort a colleague but didn’t know what to say. Drawing on psychology, personal experience and practical advice, Julie explores why tears are a normal part of being human, why empathy is a strength rather than a weakness, and how simply being present can be far more powerful than trying to find the perfect words. Sometimes kindness, understanding and simply staying with someone are enough. In this episode you’ll discover: • Why crying is not a sign of weakness • What psychology tells us about emotions • The surprising mistake many of us make when someone cries • Simple, compassionate ways to support another person • How to silence your Thought Bully when it tells you you’re “too emotional” Remember: your emotions are not your enemy. S3 E24The Missing Keys: Why You’ll Never Feel Ready

Send us Fan Mail The Missing Keys: Why You’ll Never Feel Ready Have you ever told yourself: “I’ll do it when I’m more confident.” “I’ll wait until I’m ready.” “I just need one more qualification, one more bit of experience, one more sign…” What if waiting is exactly what your Thought Bully wants you to do? S3 E23 Stop Taking Orders From Anxiety

Send us Fan Mail What if anxiety has been giving you orders for years? "Don't go." "Don't try." "Stay where it's safe." "Something might go wrong." In this episode, Julie explores the difference between listening to anxiety and obeying it. Anxiety is designed to keep us safe, but sometimes the alarm gets stuck. When that happens, it can slowly shrink our world, stopping us from travelling, socialising, applying for opportunities, speaking up, or simply living the life we want. Julie shares personal stories, including how anxiety tried to stop her travelling to India, and the inspiring story of "Alex", who spent twenty years trapped by his internal alarm before finding the courage to start leaving the house again. You'll discover: ✨ Why anxiety behaves like an overactive alarm system  ✨ Why you would never tolerate this treatment for someone you love  ✨ How fear often disguises itself as protection  ✨ The courage hidden in everyday actions  ✨ A simple challenge to help you start taking your power back This episode is dedicated to the unsung heroes: the people who hear the alarm, feel the fear, and take the next step anyway. 🏅 NEW: The "I Did It Anyway" Badge of Honour If anxiety told you not to do something and you did it anyway, Julie wants to hear your story. Share your victory, no matter how small it seems. Every month, a listener will receive the official I Did It Anyway Badge of Honour in recognition of their courage. Because bravery isn't the absence of fear. It's hearing the alarm and choosing not to obey it. Your Energy. On Your Terms. If this episode helped you, please follow, share, and leave a review. It helps more people find the podcast and reminds them that they are not facing their Thought Bully alone.  You’re not alone with your Thought Bully — I’m right here with you.  Take your power back today, my lovely.
