Mini Episode #31: Jesus, Politics, & The Christian Response (Featuring: Elizabeth Peck)

Mini Episode #31: Jesus, Politics, and the Christian Response In this mini episode of Let’s Talk About It, we discuss what the Bible says about government, politics, and the Christian’s role in the world. As followers of Christ, we are called to be engaged and informed, but we must never allow politics to become our identity. Join us as we explore how Christians can navigate political conversations with wisdom, grace, and truth while remembering that our ultimate allegiance is to King Jesus and His Kingdom. We also discuss practical ways to love people well, be a light in a divided world, and point others to the hope found in Christ. Kingdom Work Spotlight: Lion’s Head Coffee This week, we’re highlighting Lion’s Head Coffee, a Christian-owned coffee company with a mission to use coffee as a tool to advance the Gospel. Through their business, they support Bible distribution, anti-human trafficking efforts, orphan care, church planting, and other Kingdom-focused ministries around the world. If you’d like to support their mission, visit  https://lionsheadcoffee.com/. First-time customers can receive 10% off their order with code LION10. We love highlighting ministries and businesses that are using their platform to make Jesus known. We hope you’ve been enjoying these daily fun facts about our wonderful June guest! We’re excited for this episode to be released on June 17th!   Next week, we’ll officially reveal the special guest for Mini Episode #32: “Doubt, Questions, and the Case for Christianity.” If you’re a fan of Dateline or Investigation Discovery, you may recognize this guest. He shares an incredible testimony of how he came to faith in Jesus by examining Christianity through evidence, facts, and reason - much like building a case in a courtroom. We’ll discuss navigating doubt, examining the evidence for Christianity, and why faith and reason are not enemies. This has been one of the most impactful conversations I’ve had on the podcast so far, and I can’t wait for you to hear it. Episode 12: Breaking Strongholds & Living in Freedom (Special Guest: Erika Peck)

Episode 12 is out now!  “Breaking Strongholds & Living in Freedom” Such a blast getting to sit down with my special guest - my wonderful sister, Erika! She has been such an important person in my life since day one and continues to be. Not only is she my best friend, but she is also such a strong spiritual encouragement in my life, constantly pointing me back to Jesus. She serves King Jesus and others so faithfully and truly puts the Lord first in everything she does. Even though she may be younger than me, I look up to her so much! In this episode, we talk about spiritual strongholds, what they are, how to break free from them, and how to walk in the freedom and abundant life found in Christ. We hope and pray this episode encourages you deeply. Share this episode with someone you love!  “I once thought these things were valuable, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭7‬-‭9‬ Please join me in praying for Erika, her walk with Christ, and her future. I know that the Lord has incredible plans in store for her.  Be sure to listen now on Spotify and Apple Podcasts!  All glory to King Jesus!

God is moving in incredible ways! In this powerful episode, we talk about: • What persecution looks like for Christians • The true cost of following Jesus • What believers can expect in today’s culture • How to boldly stand for Christ • And how to become a “history maker instead of a history watcher,” as Pastor Hormoz says! Mini Episode #29: The Apologetics Series - The Sanctity of Human Life (Featuring: Elizabeth Peck)

This week on The Apologetics Series, we’re diving into a deeply important and sensitive conversation surrounding the sanctity of human life - speaking with both truth and compassion as we navigate today’s cultural debate. As believers, it’s important that we value what God values, defend the vulnerable and helpless, and remember that every human life matters because every person is created in the image of God - no matter the stage of life. At the same time, we want this episode to reflect the heart of the Gospel: no matter your past, your story, or what you’ve done, there is hope, forgiveness, and redemption found in Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that this episode encourages people, challenges hearts, and ultimately points listeners back to the heart of God.  Also, be sure to tune in this Saturday as we release another mini episode from The Apologetics Series featuring special guest, Dr. Hormoz Shariat, as we discuss persecution, bold faith, and the true cost of following Jesus. Their ministry is dedicated to boldly proclaiming the Gospel, encouraging believers, and pointing people back to Jesus through an amazing podcast and powerful content, music, and ministry outreach. I’m truly excited for the opportunity to collaborate with them more and do ministry together later this year! I also encourage you to check out their music on Spotify, including their Champions for Christ EP. It’s a powerful and encouraging project that I genuinely enjoy listening to myself. In addition, Dr. Eric Blake has written a book called What Is Your Choice?, which focuses on the most important decision a person can make - accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Mini Episode #28: The Apologetics Series - Legalism (Why Striving Fails & Abiding Sets You Free) (Featuring: Elizabeth Peck)

In this episode, we talk about the dangerous trap of legalism and what it looks like to move from striving into truly abiding in Christ.  Are you constantly trying to perform? Seeking approval from others? Feeling pressure to “measure up”? Mini Episode #27: The Apologetics Series - Compromising & The Slow Fade (Featuring: Elizabeth Peck)

Not every step away from God is a bold decision… sometimes it’s a slow drift. This mini episode of our Apologetics Series dives into what compromise actually looks like in the life of a believer. It’s not always obvious - it’s subtle, gradual, and often justified over time. And before we know it… we don’t feel as close to God as we once did. In this episode, we ask the hard questions: Are your friendships strengthening your faith — or weakening it? Are your habits drawing you closer to God — or pulling you away? Have you grown comfortable with things that once convicted you? This isn’t about condemnation — it’s about awareness and return. God hasn’t moved. He’s still near. And you can draw close again. And next week for the Apologetics Series, we are talking about legalism — why it’s not what the Bible teaches and how to recognize if you’re living in it. So many believers are walking in pressure, performance, and rules… instead of fully living in the grace God has already given them. We can’t wait for you to meet our upcoming May guest later this month! We will be discussing spiritual strongholds — the hidden things that keep us stuck, distracted, and pulled away from God. We also love highlighting people who are doing incredible Kingdom work — not to push products, but to support what God is doing through others. Carrie is one of those people. She creates amazing custom pieces — from t-shirts and mugs to keychains and other apparel — all with so much intentionality and excellence. She’s a strong believer, has an incredible work ethic, and truly cares about what she creates. The quality is amazing and she delivers quickly too! Go support her and check her out! Episode 11: Let’s Talk About Leadership (Special Guest: Chuck Alston)

Let’s talk about… leadership!  So excited to share this conversation with my longtime, dear friend Chuck Alston—better known to me as “Papa Chuck.” Him and his wife mean so much to me, and I’m truly grateful for the role they’ve played in my life.  Chuck is someone I’ve always looked up to in the way he values people, pours into others, and leads with intention. I’ve had the honor of serving alongside him in leadership within our College & Young Adults ministry at LIFE Community Church—which is actually where this podcast began.  In this episode, we talk about: • What leadership really is • What makes a strong leader • How to handle difficult situations • Leading with influence and impact • Men stepping into spiritual leadership at home • Leading in every season of life • And ultimately, how to look more like Jesus… the greatest leader of all Tune in now on Instagram (@letstalkaboutit.convos), Spotify, & Apple Podcasts! …and if you’re local, stop by Biscuitville and say hey to him! Please be praying for Papa Chuck and Mama Carrie as they step into what God has next for them. I love them both and am so thankful for their impact on my life. Next month, we’re diving into strongholds & spiritual growth with a new guest - fun facts and clues drop May 1st!  Also… our 1 year anniversary is almost here!! Still can’t believe it. So grateful for what God has done and excited for what’s ahead!  "Let's Talk About It" is a podcast for young adults navigating real life and real faith.
