I’ve been a regular listener and genuinely think the hosts bring well researched information to the table.
The swearing in the episodes is a problem. It’s not that I’m offended. It’s that I can’t put this on in the car with my kids because I never know when the next f-bomb is coming. It completely is not necessary to drive your point home, and in business, you lose an audience using it.
Beyond that, it works against you. Profanity reads as a lack of vocabulary rather than emphasis, and it makes it harder to recommend the show in a professional setting. The insight is good enough to stand on its own. It doesn’t need the language, and the language actually makes the insight land with less weight. I even heard another review about profanity where it was brushed off and now I feel it’s even more prevalent. For what reason?
I’m not going anywhere yet, but I’ll admit it’s started to make me second guess how seriously to take the content… Clean up the delivery and this is easily a five star show.
