Hi, I’m Sara Scoggins and I love good conversation; with anyone. After living in Los Angeles for almost ten years (wow, really ten years?) I’ve met some incredible people with stories I want to share. Between friends who work in front of the camera, behind the scenes, and everywhere in between, I’ve been inspired, challenged and motivated by them all. And you will be too.
Let’s Talk with Scoggs is about sharing stories, passions, and perspective. We’ll get to know each other a little better, have some fun, and tackle your advice questions. Please don’t be shy, email me at Sara.Scoggins@idobi.com with any advice or topics!
Catch the show every Wednesday at 10pm EST and you can subscribe on iTunes! Hope to talk soon.
This week Near Tears, Justine Dorsey joins the show to walk me through her recent releases, what it’s been like to let go of some self-imposed expectations, and a mutual love of Gwen Stefani. Justine’s new wave/indie/pop music is just what I needed and I hope you’ll check out her latest release “Love Under Surveillance” streaming now. I hope you enjoy the episode and her music.
Cry Baby just released their debut EP, Everything I Didn't Say! This EP consists of 7 tracks all dripping in vibey 90s inspired pop/R&B - and it sparked so much joy in my heart.
This week, singer/songwriter PLEXXAGLASS aka Alexxa Joan Rae - stops by to talk about their recent singles, upcoming album and what it was like to collaborate with producer Kevin Billingslea.
FRAMES (Sarah Phung)
Sarah Phung of FRAMES joined me this week to discuss their upcoming album ‘Every Room’ out September 24th and shared some insights about self-love, how to deal with conflict, and nostalgia. I was fortunate enough to have a sneak peek at the album, so we dove into a few tracks that caught my attention. You can preorder ‘Every Room’ now and check out a few tracks from the album. Hope you enjoy it!
Concrete Castles are ready to release their debut album Wish I Missed U, out September 17th via Velocity Records / Equal Vision Records They joined me for this episode to discuss the writing/recording process, what it’s like to be part of this trio, and their real feelings about finally releasing this music. You can preorder the album now and check out a few tracks from the album.
4 Minutes Later
This week we take a deep dive into the formation of the band 4 Minutes Later. Junyor and Moon filled me in on how the band got started, the impact they hope to have, and how their trajectory has evolved since the project kicked off. You can stream their latest single “In My Head” now - and keep an eye for more soon!
Sara has a definite way of bringing out the best in her guests. I think they really enjoy the good conversations.
She is so relatable and charming, this show feels so comfortable, I love every minute of it
a genuine, genuinely good podcast
One of the best new podcasts I have come across lately! Scoggs interview style feels comfortable but hits deep, and has a really good structure that most shows have to work many episodes to achieve. The first episode was interesting and full of such genuine relatability it felt like listening to a friend. I definitely subscribed and will be recommending it highly to my friends, cant wait to see what magic continues to come in future episodes of this podcast!
