Hi, I’m Sara Scoggins and I love good conversation; with anyone. After living in Los Angeles for almost ten years (wow, really ten years?) I’ve met some incredible people with stories I want to share. Between friends who work in front of the camera, behind the scenes, and everywhere in between, I’ve been inspired, challenged and motivated by them all. And you will be too.

Let’s Talk with Scoggs is about sharing stories, passions, and perspective. We’ll get to know each other a little better, have some fun, and tackle your advice questions. Please don’t be shy, email me at Sara.Scoggins@idobi.com with any advice or topics!

Catch the show every Wednesday at 10pm EST and you can subscribe on iTunes! Hope to talk soon.

We have a new duo on the show today; [mila]! CJ Lawlor and Wren Mohammed connected over their love for music and eventually, with Wren at the helm, started to imagine what their project would look and sound like. Enter the alternative-pop sound of [mila]! In this episode, they share how Wren’s encouragement brought CJ out of her shell, how they named the project, and everything about the debut single, “Thuong Qua Is Vietnamese For I Love You.” They have great energy and shared great advice on communicating better in meaningful relationships. Moxy The Band

    Moxy The Band

This week we welcome Moxy The Band to discuss their debut album, Dream Feeling. I love the album, and Amber DeLaRosa, Michael Franzino, and Dryw Owens were kind enough to walk me through some of my favorite songs and reflect on the writing process. As veterans in the music industry, it was beautiful to hear how they came together and the special relationship they forged in the process. I can't wait for you all to fall in love with Moxy The Band! Enjoy the episode, and please share it with a friend.

Daniel McCartney Vol. 2 (The Continuance Foundation)

Daniel McCartney Vol. 2 (The Continuance Foundation)

Daniel McCartney is back! It’s been two years since he first launched The Continuance Foundation, a non-profit organization on a mission to bring mental health services to musicians at no cost. Daniel has been working in the touring industry for years, and when he noticed a lack of resources and support for musicians and their mental health, he decided to do something about it. Since we spoke in 2020, the foundation has continued to evolve and grow with new services and programs. Daniel and I have benefited from various resources, so I hope you’ll support his efforts to provide a more profound conversation regarding mental health.

a genuine, genuinely good podcast

One of the best new podcasts I have come across lately! Scoggs interview style feels comfortable but hits deep, and has a really good structure that most shows have to work many episodes to achieve. The first episode was interesting and full of such genuine relatability it felt like listening to a friend. I definitely subscribed and will be recommending it highly to my friends, cant wait to see what magic continues to come in future episodes of this podcast!
