Suicide

Hi, I love the podcast! It’s been very helpful but I would love to hear an episode on how to process the suicide of a loved one.

Disappointed

Wow!! The way this podcast discusses disorders is just very sad to me. I unfortunately have a mental disorder and have never felt like I fit in but try to educate myself on what I can do, even just things as simple as listening to podcasts. Your podcast basically puts people with mental disorders in a box and labels them as being crazy. I had to laugh when someone said they don’t have experience with people with mental disorders because they don’t like the drama. I think you’d be shocked by how many people you know do have one or have one abs maybe never got it diagnosed. Talk about an over generalization. When I told my friends and family I had one they were dumbfounded because I am able to hide it so well...one of those reasons is because of the stigma, such as this podcast, gives off to the world.

Do better. People already feel so poorly about themselves.

Yikes

I listened to your episode from November 2018 about borderline personality disorder and was absolutely horrified at the lack of compassion shown in your conversation. When you initially said “the goal by the end of this episode is to come up with a more accurate name for borderline personality disorder” I was really impressed, thinking you were referring to something like “complex trauma disorder”. When I heard “you crazy personality disorder” from your female host, I was so grossed out, especially at the laughter that followed afterwards. Very disappointing.
