your art moves me -

Clare, your spoken word poetry moves me each time I listen. I receive something unique from episode and it feels like dry bones are awakening. Your story is sacred - relentlessly chasing your dreams is a radical thing to do in this culture of mediocrity in which we live...”too afraid to cry, too shy to dance,” as Henri Nouwen says. We (I’m referring to Catholic women but really this could be applied much more broadly) have these bold, burning desires that could bring so much vibrancy and life to the world...yet so often we settle for mediocrity. Your story is one of sacrifice and of doing the hard thing. The world is better for it, sis. You are bearing good, beautiful fruit in your art and this sort of beauty just rips the heart right open. Thank you for sharing your art, your prayer, your heart with us. Thank you even more for following your dreams - there are lots of dreamers out there, but few are actually willing to abandon comfort to follow them!!
