Liberty Cap Talk Live is a pro-Liberty talk radio show airing Saturday nights at 8 p.m. EST and featuring left-libertarian talk radio show host Todd Andrew Barnett, his partner James L. Landrith, Jr, and a weekly panel of pro-Liberty or liberty-leaning guests discussing political, news, and entertainment topics from a pro-Liberty standpoint. Almost every week, Todd will be interviewing a guest with him, Jim, and their panel with questions about public policy, news, politics, and culture anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Plus, Todd (and sometimes Jim) will feature special episodes of the show interviewing guests for 30 to 60 minutes on select topics of interest, ranging from presidential politics to causes to just about any event from a pro-Liberty perspective.

    Episode 107: LP Candidates for President, the CNBC GOP Debate, Etc.

    [**Special Note: This episode aired at 9 p.m. EST.] **In the one hundredth and seventh episode, Todd, permanent panelist and co-host Muslims for Liberty's Will Coley and their guest panelists 2020 Libertarian for President George Phillies and Republican Liberty Caucus Vice-Chair Dave Nalle discussed the following:* 1. Libertarian presidential campaigns for 2016: who they were, what their credentials were, what issue planks they were running on, and whether they played a paramount and relevant role in the 2016 presidential race. 2. The CNBC Republican debate: who won the debate, who the loser was, why the entire GOP field was hereby antithetical to the advancement of liberty in presidential politics, who would mostly get the nomination, etc. 3. The allegations against Dr. Ben Carson by Politico, specifically the claims that Carson lied about his West Point scholarship. Carson claimed that he was offered a scholarship at the military institution, yet he told a different story to CBS interviewer Charlie Rose. 4. Quentin Tarantino attended a #BlackLivesMatter event called RiseUpOctober in New York City, in which the activists had spoken out against police brutality and the downright defense of bad cops that made up the entire law enforcement profession. These were the same people who defend cops killing unarmed, innocent people of color. Police unions all over the country, including Fox News' Sean Hannity, attacked Tarantino and the exercising of his right to free speech (which they oppose 1000%), saying that they were boycotting Tarantino's movies, including his upcoming movie Hateful Eight. Like that was gonna send him to the unemployment line. 5. The effectiveness of boycotts and whether they were used for the right reasons in light of the Tarantino-Police ruckus. 6. Fraternal Order of Police, a national police union, issued a veiled threat against Tarantino, saying that they had a "surprise in store for him." What were they gonna do? Kill him? Shoot him? If so, then these thugs would be asking to get shot by their sworn enemies in the libertarian and liberal movements. 7. Tarantino made an appearance on Real Time with Bill Maher, who interviewed him on the controversy. Tarantino stated that he was not "anti-cop," but rather "anti-cop killing." [Clip included.] [*Note: The show was great, except for the end in which I resented George's belief that I was misinterpreting Wendy McElroy's buttressed court decisions on the ethical and legal obligations of cops. Of course, there was more, but you would have to listen to the rest. Also, Will and I had an aftershow talking about the entire show. I hope everyone likes this episode.]

    Episode 106: A 45-Minute Chat with Joy Waymire, Playboy, Jim Webb, Etc.

    In the one hundredth and sixth episode, Todd, permanent panelist and co-host Muslims for Liberty's Will Coley (who was on for the first 20 minutes), Alongside Night director and their guest panelists libertarian activist J Neil Schulman, and Libertarian Party activist Stephen Meier discussed the following:* 1. Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton was brought before Congress to answer for the ensuing email server scandal, the deaths of the four government operatives in Benghazi, and the Mohammad video that purportedly caused the Muslims insurgents to react with violence in September 2012. 2. The two Republican debates, which had shaped the election season and had resulted in Donald Trump rising in the polls, despite his racist, nativistic, and jingoistic rhetoric and his statist platitudes which had excited the conservative conservative base of the GOP. 3. Rand Paul's presidential campaign continuing its downward slide into irrelevancy and nothingness, which should have convinced him to pull out of the race. 4. The recent season premiere of Homeland which had been heavily anti-Muslim from its inception as a show, but at least this season it was admitting its bias against the people who practice Islam. 5. Playboy deciding to drop its nudity to "reflect" the "modern" male reader and responding to the drop in circulation due to online porn sites where porn customers desire that over pics teasing guys. Playboy's new direction made the New York Times look like it was dropping its news coverage in favor of colorful commentary. 6. The Democratic debate went into massive detail about the free stuff that Hillary, Bernie Sanders, Lincoln Chaffe, and Jim Webb promised and why the event made you want to snooze. 7. Democratic candidate Jim Webb dropping out of the race. 8. October 21 being #BacktotheFutureDay, because in Back to the Future Part II, Marty McFly, Doc Brown, and Marty's girlfriend Jennifer (while unconscious) flew into the future and arrived on October 21, 2015. What a hoot, huh? 9. Actress Jennifer Lawrence wrote an essay in Lena Dunham's newsletter Lenny, in which she came out with an admission that she had been underpaid in Hollywood in light of last December's Sony hack scandal, in which it revealed she was underpaid in comparison to her male co-stars. She had gone to say that it was not the business's fault for underpaying; it was on her. She said that she didn't negotiate for her salaries very well because she didn't want to appear to be "difficult or spoiled." Wow. At least she had convictions. Doesn't she? 10. Chris Cantwell's recent resignation from from Free Talk Live and the dropping of his AMP subscription as well as his on-air fight with Mark Edge and Ian Freeman over his defense of Stefan Molyneaux and Charles Murray on the discussion of proof that African-American individuals scored lower on IQ tests due to genetic inferiority because of their race. This all started with his response to an FTL listener, Mark, and Johnson Rice's objection to Molyneaux's claim in the secret FTL and AMP Facebook group. LP presidential candidate Joy Waymire came on at 8:30 p.m. to discuss her presidential campaign, her goals, what she had accomplished with her campaign, why she was running in this race, and her thoughts on the Democratic and GOP fields this season. [*Note: The show went well, although Jim was not present due to a family issue, Will dropped off probably due to his Internet connection, etc. Vemotion's software is not configuring with Skype very well for whatever reason, but hopefully that will be fixed by November 7.)

    Episode 105: A 70 Minute Chat Interview with Avens O'Brien, Etc.

    In the one hundred and fifth episode, Todd, Jim, their permanent panelist and Muslims for Liberty's Will Coley and their panelists prominent libertarian/agorist author and Alongside Night writer and director J. Neil Schulman and Libertarian Party Presidential Candidate for 2016 Joy Waymire discuseds the following: 1. Frederick Gray and his unjustifiable demise and the protests and the riots breaking out in Baltimore, Maryland that soon followed. Were the cops justified in their actions for arresting Gray despite the fact that he had a checkered past for being a coke peddler and had a switchblade on his person? If so, why? If not, why not? 2. Maryland's state attorney general had announced that Gray's death has been "ruled a homicide." What did that mean for Gray's family, the protesters, and, most notably, the rioters thanks to the criminal charges filed against all six officers? 3. The destruction of the businesses wan the downtown area, including the CVS/Pharmacy store and speculation as to whether those businesses would rebuild. Would these business owners and CVS rebuild their stores? Would any good come out of this? 4. Ron Paul said that American was financially. Wasn't it high time that Obama and the Federal Reserve came clean about America's financial health and their tax-and-spend agenda? 5. Independent socialist Bernie Sanders of Vermont entered presidential field as a Democrat. Why was he running as a Democrat? Actually a better question is: why was he running at all? How was he better than Hillary when he offered to expand the size of the State like Hillary does? 6. Former Olympic medalist and Kardashian dad Bruce Jenner opened up to Diana Sawyer, saying that he was a "woman," that he was transgendered, that he was a conservative Republican, and that, of all the Kardashian girls, Kloe took it the hardest. What did you think of his interview? Were you moved by it, or did you think it was for show? 7. The U.S. Patriot Act faced revisions by both the Republicans and Democrats. Isn't it time to get rid of this law? Pro-liberty activist Avenis O'Brien comes on at 8:25 p.m. EST for a 70-minute interview to talk about how she wandered into the Liberty movement, her controversial article on why libertarian men will not get laid by libertarian gals, what and how libertarians needed more women in the movement, how libertarian men and women could hook up with each other, and her take on Freddie Gray and the Baltimore protests and riots, the Bruce Jenner interview, and more.

    Episode 104: The Rolling Stone-UVA Ruckus, Rand Paul for President, Etc.

    In this one-hundred and fourth episode, Todd, Jim, his permanent panelist Muslims for Liberty Will Coley, and his guest panelists LewRockwell.com blogger and writer William N. Grigg (for an hour), libertarian activist Jacob Halloway, and LewRockwell.com blogger and writer William L. Anderson discussed the following:* 1. South Carolina police officer Michael T. Slagg killed a fleeing man named Walter L. Scott by emptying his gun's clip eight times, murdering the man in the back. A black cop helped the officer cover up the scene of the crime, thus igniting the debate once again over whether cops should employ deadly force. 2. Sabrina Rubin Erdely, the now-discredit journalist who should have been disgraced for penning a hoax about a purported campus rape in the house of Phi Kappa Psi, a fraternity on the grounds of the University of Virginia issued a statement outlining her faux apology for what she had done to the boys at the frat house and for taking the word of a lying "victim" named Jackie (who was later identified as Jacquelin Coakley). 3. Rolling Stone retracted Erderly's "A Rape on Campus" piece, putting in its place a shoddy investigation into her article with the help of the Columbus Journalism Review. 4. Dhzokhar Tsarnaev was found guilty 30 times in a criminal court on all 30 counts. Real Time's Bill Maher said that others who believed this terrorist "looked arrogant" and he "looked indifferent" were "misinterpreting it. What he looked to me was confident....confident that he knew where he was going. Up to paradise." Maher was wrong, because what Tsarnaev looked to me was that he was arrogant, indifferent, and not even remorseful. Confidence certainly played a part in it, but only a minor role. 5. Rand Paul announced his run for the presidency by launching his campaign. He is getting grief from minarchists and anarchists in the Liberty movement for not cutting defense spending, and yet he was also getting grief from conservatives for not going to far enough. Should we support Rand Paul, or was he so statist now that his own father would steer clear of him? 6. The HBO documentary Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief debuted on HBO on May 29, which resulted in huge viewing numbers for the network. According to Variety.com and other sources, 1.7 million people watched the film, and it was the source of continual conversation, even to this day. Even a petition aimed at the White House was calling for the revocation of the Church of Scientology's tax exempt status and the removal of its status as a religious institution. What did you all think? Was Scientology a religion or a cult? Or was it a business that L. Ron Hubbard crafted it to be? What did you think of Xenu the alien Intergalactic Overlord of the Galactic Confderacy? Nutty, isn't it? 7. Hillary Clinton was expected to announce her run for president on the Democratic ticket. The question was - would she run? Or wouldn't she? 8. My Michigan Governor Rick Synder, a Republican, called for an increase in the state's sales tax to cover the roads by a penny. But there was more to the proposal which was going to be on the ballot on May 5th. 9. Indiana governor Mike Pence recently signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act for his state, which almost immediately went viral and resulted in a lot of hate mail, public scrutiny, and social conservative hatred. Were social conservatives wrong to allow businesses to discriminate gay customers, or did these businesses have a right to be protected by government edict? You HAD to decide.

    Episode 103: An Hour-Long Chat with LP Vice Chair Arvin Vohra, EFF, Etc.

    In the one hundred and third episode, Todd and his panelists long-time Libertarian Party activist Alvin Anders and Libertarian Party of New Mexico State Chair Mike Blessing discussed the following: 1. The Brad Spangler ruckus and mess began on January 22, 2015 (which was a Thursday) in which Spangler in his drunken stupor unveiled for the first time on Facebook that he had molested his daughter when she was 10 in 2004. How did the movement respond? You figure it out. 2. Christopher Cantwell's articles on Spangler's public confession and his daughter Zoe Spangler's public statement became a source for heated discussion among many libertarians. Should she have been childified and infantilized now that she's 20 and a fully-grown adult woman? Should she still wear that Scarlett letter of victimhood as a badge of honor for the rest of her life? Is she right to tell us that rape culture and the Patriarchy are problems in our society or is she full of shit? Tell us because we'd like to know. 3. Obama's State of the Union speech was a disaster in the making. He made so many promises as well as many lies about our economy, our health care system, our foreign policy, and so on. What said you? 4. Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) was now supporting the government's net neutrality campaign. But wasn't EFF in favor of civil liberties, especially in the digital age in which we all live? 5. Were measles the next outbreak after last year's Ebola ruckus? That's what the medical industry, the mainstream media, and the U.S. federal government wanted us to believe. What's next next year, the mumps? Polio? The Hanta virus? 6. Should the State have fully vaccinate your kid despite the measles outbreak? Or should these vaccines have been voluntary? Rand Paul was against mandatory vaccines while the Democrats and many Republicans supported those mandated endeavors. What did you think? 8. Radio Shack began to close its stores' doors after announcing that it was filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Did the retail chain see it coming? Did we all see it coming? Does it matter in the grand scheme of things? Let's think about it. 9. The Ross Ulbricht trial closed, with the Silk Road founder being found guilty on all seven counts (and not four as Free Talk Live's Ian Freeman thought he would). Were we surprised? Should he have had that website to begin with? Did he know the risks? Furthermore, should the State have made him out to be a real-life Tony Montana? Libertarian Party Vice Chair Arvin Vohra came on at 8:25 p.m. EST, staying on until 9:27 p.m. EST to discuss his video-recorded and written Obama's State of the Union speech response, what Obama got right and why the President dropped the ball on the economy, health care, and just about everything else, the current state of the Libertarian Party and the movement, etc. Would the LP finally rise to power to put an end to all of this insanity? Let's find out. [*Note: The show ran longer than two hours, specifically 2 hours and 45 minutes because the extra 45 minutes was the show aftershow. Jim and Will couldn't do the show because Jim had to do a double shift at his job, and as for Will, I don't know where he is.]
