    Ep. 346: When Is Enough, Enough?

    This week, the guys try to figure out when enough is enough. Specifically, they're thinking about houses after Evan had been around some of the biggest houses in town. But there's gotta be such a thing as too much house, right? So, when is enough, enough for both Josh and Evan? Could they use another bedroom or a bigger yard? Or are they good with what they've got? It's an interesting thought as people are always moving their own goalposts, but maybe being happy and content shouldn't be based on a measurement/comparison...     This week, the guys get a little morbid with their discussions. But hey, death is a part of life, and life is funny, so it works! They also discuss their thoughts on modern medicine like GLP-1s, and whether they're good for humanity in the long run. The guys also talk about the newly minted NCAA Football Champions, THEIR Indiana Hoosiers! They both have ink-based memorabilia on the brain, so find out if Evan got tatted up or if Josh is leading the charge.     Ep. 342: Time for IU National Title Tattoos?!

    This week, the guys are prepping for the possibility of history! Indiana is/was on the cusp of a football National Championship, which is a foreign concept for most of human history. However, this year it's a reality, so it needs to be immortalized with permanent bodily ink, right? Evan might be contemplating getting his first tattoo, while Josh is (unsurprisingly) adamantly against it. Evan is busy petsitting once again, so there might be some shenanigans at hand in the background. The guys also discuss Evan's early experiences as a U.S. Census employee, and Josh is interested in how it all works. Josh might've aged out of the "30 Under 30" club, but both guys are still technically in the running for 2026's Time "Man of the Year" award! Both birthday boys discuss some birthday business before breaking down one of Josh's words of the year. So, will he stick to his 'frugal' mantra in 2026? Or has he already redefined it just to mean spending money differently? A true Fact of the Week gets the year off on the right foot, and "sticking it to the man" is still going strong! While the book might shut on This Day in Hear-story, who knows what 2026 will hold!

    Ep. 339: Bringing Back the Gift of the Podcast

    This week, the guys have a present in store: themselves! After an extended break between episodes, the podcast is BACK! But this episode needs a "Beware of Dog" sign as Evan has a noisy guest to deal with. Since they last recorded, Evan has been to California and back, and Josh has been busy, too. The guys talk about what they've been up to, including some exciting zoo talk that's chock-full of Fact of the Week tidbits. With Christmas quickly approaching, the guys also chat about gifting in what seems like an annual tradition. Do they have some cool experiential ideas on deck this season, or will a good pair of slippers go down as the No. 1 gift?
