    Our special guest this week is Rashad Jennings. He is a NY Times Best Selling Author, Dancing with the Stars Champion, and played in the NFL for 8 seasons. In this episode, you'll learn that Rashad's story is more than just football. He was a chubby kid with asthma and a learning deficit that then turned into a pro athlete and writing books that had made it on the top charts. He has defied the odds stacked against him. He also talks about his father and how the transformation of their relationship defined everything.

    Turning Struggles Into Strengths

    The pitfalls of social media has amplified this idea that we have to impress everyone and less of ourselves.  Rebecca's work ethic was something I alway admired. She hustled and successfully built an entire brand through Instagram that has gained thousands of followers through the influence of fitness and body positivity. But what her community doesn't know, is that Rebecca has struggled with body dysmorphia and admits to still struggling to this day.  In this episode, Rebecca gets honest about how a toxic relationship impacted the way she viewed her body, the highs and lows of social media, and how to find the balance between reality and instagram. Rebecca is a fitness trainer in Los Angeles and is the owner of BITI Brand. She has realized through her own struggles she is able to relate to her followers and people that are a part of her fitness community.

    Running Towards Peace

    We spend so much time getting to know others when we should be getting to know ourselves first.  In this episode, Jessica talks about accepting her depression and anxiety, reconciling with her childhood trauma, evolving with her partner through 14 years together, and how running became a vital part of her life. Through her struggles, Jessica realized that her whole life was overshadowed by her anger. Her anger stemmed from her Dad's actions that ultimately broke her family apart when she was a kid. She had to figure out how to feel again.  Jessica is an avid runner, dog mom and a LA Marathon ambassador. She uses her platform on social media to advocate for mental health through the running community and her own personal struggles with depression.

    The Power of Why

    A simple question of your why can always steer you back in the right direction when feeling lost.  In this episode, we talk about all things football, mindset, and training. Sean had dreams of playing professional football since he was in the 3rd grade. He was a stellar athlete throughout high school which afforded him a full ride to the University of Montana. Through the ups and downs of his football career and ultimately, devastating injuries that caused him to close his football chapter prematurely - Sean learned valuable lessons as an athlete. It's about controlling the controllables and importantly, grounding yourself in your why when things get tough.  After saying goodbye to football, Sean became passionate about training and the importance of taking care of your body through injury prevention. He is a personal trainer in Los Angeles and has trained notable clientele like celebrities and professional athletes. Sean continues to educate his clients and community about the power of mindset and how to find a healthy perspective when it comes to fitness.

    A Walking Miracle

    They say things happen in threes.  In 2018, Nicole Norwoods went through a chain of events that changed her life forever. It seemed like she couldn't catch a break. In this episode, Nicole shares her story of her tumbling accident that almost left her paralyzed, losing her Mom, and the end of a long term relationship just 2 days after her Mom passed away. Through so much grief and hardship, Nicole fought hard to persevere and regain strength physically and emotionally. We talk about grieving after loss, her healing journey, and how meditation and gratitude has changed her mindset. Her story is powerful and inspiring - so have some tissues ready! She is the absolute definition of grit.  Nicole Norwoods is a personal trainer in LA and owner of @snackshopla. After finding purpose from her injury, she continues to inspire her community through fitness and reminding others to not take their body or movement for granted.

    The Shavasana Effect

    Frances Brower is a successful professional fitness model and a yoga instructor based in Los Angeles. You may recognize her in campaigns for the biggest brands like Nike, Lululemon and Adidas, to name a few. She radiates positivity and constantly strives to use her platform to empower her community through yoga, fitness and being authentically herself.  She currently teaches yoga at Equinox along with weekly live classes via Instagram through brands like Vuori and Wellthy.  We covered A LOT! In this episode, we discuss the beginnings of Frances' yoga career, some modeling blunders, and most importantly, the hardest decision she's ever had to make - leaving a marriage at age 26. Through our goofiness and giggling, we realized that the 2 most pivotal decisions in her life were Influenced by the stillness she experienced in a meditative state- one being a visual exercise and the other in shavasana.
