13 episodes

Life Was Peachy is the best podcast about the most questionable music of the mid-to-late 90’s and early 2000’s. Each episode is a deep dive into a classic nu metal album with the benefit of 20 years of hindsight to find out just what happened back then and what it amounts to in this brave nu world. Host Andrew Cahak is joined by various guests including comedians, musicians, and other people of interest. Some will have very passionate things to say, some may barely be able to stomach the stuff, and some have never heard nu metal before. Whatever the case, it will be a fun conversation with plenty of background information and just the right amount of irreverence.

NuPodcast for a NuGeneration

What a great idea and concept. Definitely worth a listen for those who lived nuMetal and those who may be blissfully unaware.

Sickening pod

And I mean “sickening” in the exact opposite way Kevin McAllister used the word in Home Alone when describing Buzz’s porn collection.

Each episode makes me go back and listen the album covered. Sepultura’s Roots did not disappoint. Would love an episode featuring all the collaborations from the era- Bleed by Sepultura, Sevendust’s Bender, Headup by Deftones, Wicked from Life Is Peachy, and all the others escaping me at the moment.

Jnco jeans rejoice

Did you wear jnco jeans, silver ball necklaces (with or without hemp), and maybe a tongue piercing? Then hold onto your Motorola Razr because this podcast will warp you back in time. A great look at music from the mid/late 90s. A refreshing look with some interesting insights which I’ve never thought of. I look forward to future episodes. Worth a listen.
