092: Getting To Know Your Spouse with Tiffeny Farag

K, so you know you're partner, right? I mean, duh! You guys are married! But do you really know her?

In this episode, we go deep. Really deep. Just like you want to be doing with the people you love most. Or people in general I should say.  Doctor, Introspection Analyst, and Podcast Host Tiffeny Farag gives us real concrete ways to really get to know others.

You know I'm gonna say it starts with yourself. But where does it start within yourself? According to Tiffeny it's your core values, which BTW stem from your personality. What do you do when your values are tested? How do you react in different situations?

Ready to get to know others? It's all about asking questions. Good questions. And being really curious that what why you listen and ask even more questions;)

For those of you who like deep conversations, you'll love this episode!

091: Getting Clear On Your Marriage with Roman Mironov

Have you made any goals to improve your relationship? Congratulations! You're ahead of most of the population. You're probably thinking, "Well, I set a goal but I never followed through." In this episode, you'll learn how to make sure you actually do what you planned on doing as we chat with Roman Mironov, a coach trained by Tony Robbins' program.

A great place to start is to create a daily ritual of a 30-minute conversation with your spouse so that way you can discuss what you are working on, what you want to change, and how you are going to make it happen. During this conversation, you'll want to make sure you're going deep asking a lot of very high-quality questions that are specific. Oh! And really important, make sure to visualize the conversation before you start it so that way it's a real success.

090: Marriage Vibes with Dee Woolridge

090: Marriage Vibes with Dee Woolridge

What does it mean when you say, "I got a bad vibe from her"? Without even realizing it, you probably spoke about Hawkins Vibrational Scale.

Sounds complicating? Not when Dee Woolridge specialist in effective communication, tells you about it. As we all know, when we're in different moods, we give off different vibes and land on different points on the scale. Guilt will be 30, courage will be 200 and love is 500. No, you don't have to memorize all the numbers to understand this;) What you do want to do is see what rate you run at on a daily basis so that way you can understand yourself better and bring yourself even higher.

Now, what happens when your partner falls low? What do you do? First thing, realize there is nothing you can do to change him. It's not your responsibility. What you want to do is, step into compassion, see if there was any time where you felt like she is feeling now. Understand and accept the way he is. And then give them the space to bring themselves up.

Dee Woolridge is a speaker, coach, and bestselling author and writer of numerous self-help books. She is the founder of two training and development companies. One that helps young adults on the autism spectrum.
Dee is a 30-year US Navy Veteran covering three wars. She led at the Executive Officer level and was a military consultant in Hollywood. She is the 9th of 13 siblings, a breast cancer survivor, and parents a daughter with autism. Oorah!... she's married to a Marine. She's also a clinical hypnotherapist, gifted spiritual counselor and light worker.

088: Fighting Right with Dr. William Ryan and Dai & Christie Manuel

Ever wished you can spy on someone's marriage? See what's going on inside and how they can be doing things differently?

In this episode, you can! You'll hear what they're doing right (like repairing injuries quickly, make their individual selves explicit, and how they're bringing out the best in themselves) and how they can take their relationship up a notch (like by taking responsibility if they have triggered one another.)

It's a super cool episode and packed with so much value; done in a completely different sort of way. If you loved this episode as much as I did, stay tuned for more of this awesomeness!

Please Note: This is not on-air couples therapy, counseling, or professional advice. If you need help in your marriage, please seek professional help immediately.

Dai and Christie are about health, happiness, community, life experiences, and leading by example. They recognized time was the one thing they could not create more of, so they simplified life, down-sizing their monthly overhead, said goodbye to our traditional jobs, gave-away most of their stuff, and jammed what they could into our little SUV, so they could experience more as a family and connect with more communities. #ProjectFullTimeFamily. After several years of traveling, Dai and Christie have moved back to Vancouver, Canada to honor their daughters' wishes of graduating high school.
