Lifter-Uppers

You’ve probably seen those so-called "inspirational" posters with their cheesy captions: Have a nice day. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. Or a fuzzy little kitty dangling on a piece of yarn: Hang in there, baby! When I saw a motivational billboard on the freeway, "Make your next turn—the right turn," I just shook my head. What the heck does that even mean? Then it hit me. Rather than a kitty on a string, how about finding inspiration in our common everyday experiences? Maybe not every Lifter-Upper will lift you up to to the stars, but let's at least shoot for the sky.
