Light Chapel

Light Chapel is a generational and vibrant church in the south-east suburbs of Melbourne. We exist to worship God in spirit and truth, build and equip the people of God, and reach the world around us. Our prayer is that many would come to believe the good news of Jesus Christ and receive eternal life. “In Him was life, and that life was the light of humanity.” JESUS, LIGHT OF HUMANITY.

    A message from Nick on going through situations as God is with us in them, rather than trying to avoid the situation. Scripture passages used in order were Psalm 23:4-6, James 1:2-4, Romans 5:3-5, 1 Peter 1:6-7, Exodus 14:14, Deuteronomy 1:30, 3:22 & 20:4, Isaiah 43:2, Daniel 3:16-27, Proverbs 17:17 & 18:24 and Galatians 6:2.

    Nick Hewitt - Faith goes beyond sight - 31st May 2026

    A message from Nick on that faith sees what eyes cannot see. Scripture passages used included 1 Kings 18:41-46, Genesis 3:6, Numbers 13:33, Matthew 14:30, John 20:25, 2 Corinthians 5:7, Hebrews 11:1 & 11:32-40, Romans 10:17 and 1 Timothy 6:12. For faith, we need to hear what God is saying, we need to pray and then we need to act.

    Sally McCracken - What do you carry? - 10th May 2026

    A message from Sally using 1 Samuel 1:1-20 as the main text, it is a story of contrasts. In it, there is the story of God's blessings but also unanswered prayer. Sally ministered on the contrast that there can be between what God's purposes may be compared to how we may view and think of things. Other passages used were Galatians 6:9, Hebrews 11:1 & 4:16

    A message from Mason on going out and blessing those around us. Scripture passages used were Luke 10:1-9, then on reaching out to bless, Colossians 4:2-4 (Begin with prayer), James 1:19 (Listen), Luke 19:5-7 (Eat), Matthew 20:26-28 (Serve), 1 Peter 4:5 (Share) and finished with John 20:21-22.
