    #21 Back to the Root: Final Episode

    Today I'm reflecting on what's shifted in my life that has led me back to the root of self-exploration and evaluating what's next and what feels right. For the last episode of Lighthouse Within, I also summarize the ideas I found myself returning to again and again that became not only core themes of this podcast, but reassured and deepened the personal values I feel rooted in.  Thank you to every single person who has listened - it genuinely has meant the world to me.     Lately I’ve been navigating what to do when your inner critic gets too loud. This conversation started after my best friends reflected something back to me - that I’ve been carrying a weight of self-criticism and sometimes don't realize just how heavy it is. Maybe you’ve felt that too. That quiet pressure to be better, do more, or get it right - you're not alone. Today I’m sharing what the inner critic actually is, how it forms (often in childhood), the subtle ways it shows up in adulthood, and two ways I’m learning to respond. It’s a reminder that your worth was never meant to be earned through productivity, clarity, or doing things perfectly. We can learn a new way of relating to this voice through listening and understanding what it needs, and in time gradually shift its tone to one that is more compassionate.     So many of us learn to see ourselves through the lens of what we do for others - the roles we play, the support we give, the comfort we provide. But what happens when we pause and ask: who am I beyond all of that? In this episode, I share an experience that reminded me how easy it is to tie our identity to how we show up for others… and how important it is to remember that we are lovable simply for being ourselves. We’ll explore the roles we often take on in relationships, why they’re hard to let go of, and what it feels like when those roles begin to shift. It can feel disorienting, but it's also a sign that we're on the path to true alignment.     #14 Regrounding Through the Waves of Change

    This time of year always stirs something up - fresh starts, new energy, and sometimes…overwhelm. After the holidays, I found myself needing a full reset - not just in my space, but in my body and mind too. In this episode, I’m sharing what it’s looked like for me to navigate this season of recalibration. I’ve never fully resonated with the pressure to make massive changes in January (spring always feels more like the true beginning), but something about this moment invited me to slow down and listen in. I talk about how the chaos around me has activated old nervous system responses - especially the freeze response - and how learning about the nervous system is becoming a major focus in my healing this year. I also open up about a big realization: I don’t have to say something that resonates with everyone. My job is to speak honestly and trust it lands where it needs to.
