    This isn’t Catholic This video is a serious conversation about Mexican Catholic culture, cultural Catholicism, and the difference between authentic Catholic faith and practices rooted in superstition. Many Catholics grow up surrounded by devotion. Prayer, candles, saints, and deep love for Our Lady of Guadalupe. But at the same time, many are also exposed to beliefs like mal de ojo, limpias, tarot cards, zodiac signs, and other spiritual practices that are not part of Catholic teaching. So where is the line between faith and superstition In this video, I talk about Catholic teaching versus superstition, mal de ojo and evil eye beliefs, tarot cards, astrology and zodiac signs, limpias and folk spiritual practices, and devotion to saints like Saint Anthony of Padua.     He Should Have Died... (Brown Scapular Miracle)

    I used to think the Brown Scapular was just a tradition until I experienced what I can only describe as protection I cannot explain away. This is my true story. Today I share two deeply personal Catholic testimonies that I believe reveal the power of Our Lady’s intercession and Brown Scapular miracles in modern life. The first testimony involves a night when my drink was spiked and my safety was at risk. In that moment of vulnerability I believe the Blessed Virgin Mary protected me through the Brown Scapular and called me back to purity, prayer, and obedience as a daughter of God. The second testimony is about my father’s car accident involving his truck, an event that should have been fatal. What followed is a near death experience that I can only understand through faith, prayer, and the protection of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The Brown Scapular is a sacramental of the Catholic Church given through Our Lady of Mount Carmel as a sign of consecration, grace, and spiritual protection. This is not superstition. It is a true story and a testimony of God’s mercy working through Mary in real life.
