Linked Conversations #26: Bryan Kramer And The Power of Sharing

Linked Conversations #26: Bryan Kramer And The Power of Sharing

Welcome to the latest episode of LinkedConversations with Chuck Hester.

This episode includes a discussion of LinkedIn’s acquisition of online learning company Lynda.com and how the purchase is part of LinkedIn content and learning strategy for its members.

Bryan Kramer is our guest this episode. With over 300K social fans and followers, and an intimate understanding of the intricacies and interworking of both social technologies and social behaviors, Bryan is both a practitioner and authority on the subject.

Bryan’s new book, “Shareology: How Sharing is Powering the Human Economy”, published by Morgan James Publishing will be released in July 2015.

Bryan is also a renowned global speaker, consultant and trainer. In a unique sharing experiment conducted in his recent TED Talk @ IBM titled “Why Sharing is Reimagining Our Future”, Bryan witnessed the true power of sharing when inspiration combined itself with reach and technology. The results were stunning – 21 million impressions in just 4 hours, spanning the globe to over 10 countries.

    It’s a great conversation!

And next episode will feature Joe Pulizzi, founder of the Content Marketing Institute — so look for that episode soon!

Linked Conversations #27: Travel Marketing with Mark Browning

Linked Conversations #27: Travel Marketing with Mark Browning

Welcome to the latest episode of Linked Conversations with Chuck Hester.

This episode I cover how LinkedIn makes their money and LinkedIn feature: Analytics for LinkedIn Publishers.

My guest this week is Mark Browning, founder of TRIPInfo.com and an expert in travel marketing for more than 30 years.

Full disclosure: Mark is both a client and a friend. But as I mention in my introduction, while those are two great reasons to have him on the show, the real reason I invited him was because of his depth of travel marketing knowledge.

You can learn more about Mark and his company at www.tripinfo.com

Linked Conversations #26: New Security and Education Features on LinkedIn

Welcome to the latest episode of LinkedConversations with Chuck Hester.

This episode includes a review of interesting features on LinkedIn, including a new LinkedIn Security section where you can get tips on how to protect your personal data on LinkedIn.

Also, I highlight the LinkedIn Education section – a great resource for alumni, employers and especial students looking for the right school.

We’ll also talk about LinkedIn Profile photos, and the need for a business headshot. My friend and professional photographer David Williams wrote a great post on this subject:

    The zombie photo is priceless

Finally, I share with you my wife’s struggle with PTSD and the Indigiegogo campaign to help her get a service dog.
