Episode 96: Listening to the Whispers with Christina Langdon

Chelsea sits down with Christina Langdon—keynote speaker, high-performance coach, former media executive, author, and Acute Myeloid Leukemia survivor—to explore what it means to redefine success, embrace reinvention, and create a future that feels deeply aligned with who you are. Christina helped build and scale some of the world's most recognized brands, including Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and Fast Company. She spent nearly two decades working alongside Martha Stewart during periods of extraordinary expansion, reinvention, disruption, and comeback, and later served in senior leadership roles helping organizations navigate growth in rapidly changing markets. Together, Chelsea and Christina discuss why so many high-achieving women reach a point where external success no longer matches how they feel inside. They explore the "mid-life rift" that leaves many women asking what's next, and why the answer isn't working harder—it's learning to imagine a future that's bigger than your current circumstances. Pressure narrows our thinking, keeping us focused on protecting what we've built instead of envisioning what's possible. Christina explains why imagination is one of our greatest superpowers and how creating a compelling vision for your future is the first step toward meaningful change. In This Episode We Talk About: Rewriting your definition of success after life changes everything. The difference between protecting the life you've built and creating the life you're meant for.Turning pressure into possibility through imagination. Why guilt often keeps women managing everyone else while forgetting to care for themselves. One of the most memorable moments in this conversation comes when Christina is asked what question she would ask a woman who knows she wants something different but can't yet see what comes next. Her answer is beautifully simple: "Listen to the whispers." Those quiet thoughts that surface when you're alone—in the shower, driving in silence, or finally away from the noise—are often pointing you toward your next chapter. You don't need every answer or a perfectly mapped-out plan. You simply need the courage to pay attention to what keeps calling you. Christina reminds us that transformation doesn't begin with knowing how. It begins with believing that something more is possible, trusting your intuition, and taking one aligned step at a time. When you give yourself permission to imagine a different future, you begin creating it. --------- Christina created the Future Self Index™ Assessment for successful people who have become so busy managing today that they have lost sight of what they want next. It takes just a few minutes, and you’ll receive a personalized report showing how clearly your life and choices are connected to the future you want to create. Episode 95: Created on Purpose with Taylor Reinke

Some of life's greatest lessons come from stepping outside your comfort zone and saying yes to experiences you never expected. In this episode of Lip Service & Lashes, Chelsea sits down with Taylor Reinke— Taylor is currently working in supply chain consulting, and has a wide range of experiences ranging from working for a startup eco-friendly surfboard company in South Africa to a Fortune 500 company to a faith-based non-profit (with a support raised salary). Taylor did robotics for 6 years in high school, which is what led her to receiving a full-ride scholarship to study Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M. Most important to her is making every person she interacts with know they are valued and respected, which is something she draws from her faith in Jesus. Together, Chelsea & Taylor dive into what travel can teach us about ourselves, why success doesn't have to look the same for everyone, and how embracing your unique gifts can lead to a more authentic and fulfilling life. Episode 93: The Big Rebuild with Rachel Dunham

What happens when you stop waiting for certainty and finally choose purpose? In this episode of Lip Service & Lashes, Chelsea sits down with Rachel Dunham for a conversation about courage, reinvention, and what it really looks like to start over. Rachel is a construction manager, storyteller, and founder in the middle of a bold reinvention. After years in corporate construction and development, she recently made the decision to leave the "safe" path and pursue a mission inspired by her great great grandmother, a survivor who rebuilt her life through restoring homes. Rachel is now building Roots to Rafters, a platform focused on restoration, resilience, women in construction, and creating spaces where people can reconnect to purpose, creativity, and the belief that it’s never too late to begin again. Rachel shares the powerful family story that completely changed the direction of her life, the transformational experience at Chelsea's Unapologetic Retreat that became the final push she needed to take the leap, and why she believes restoration is about so much more than houses. Together, Chelsea and Rachel dive into the messy middle of reinvention—the fear of leaving security, learning to trust yourself after years of seeking external validation, and realizing you don't need the entire roadmap before taking the next step. Rachel also shares her passion for helping women survivors discover the skilled trades as a pathway to confidence, independence, and a brand-new future. If you've ever felt like you're meant for something more but aren't sure where to begin, this conversation is a reminder that purpose doesn't require a perfect plan. Sometimes all you need is enough light for the very next step. In this episode, you'll hear: Why waiting for "enough data" can keep you stuck.Learning to trust yourself after years of living for external validation.Rachel's great great grandmother's legacy that led her to pick up the torch she left behind. The transformational experience of the Unapologetic Retreat that pushed Rachel to take the next step. Follow Rachel and the Roots to Rafters Podcast as she continues building a movement centered on restoration, resilience, and second chances. Rachel is also looking to connect with aligned collaborators, storytellers, survivors, nonprofits, tradespeople, donors, sponsors, and mission driven brands who believe in the power of restoration, both for homes and people.
