WAKiNG. UP. TOGETHER.
Nick Fruth provides transformational coaching and powerful meditation to ignite imagination and shift consciousness for growth and empowerment. After traveling through the depths of his experience, he was able to really learn how to truly connect to himself, connect to his essence, connect to his state of being that has taught him so much about what he wanted out of life. His path of trauma, addiction, awareness and accountability has led him to where he is today. He learned a whole new way of existing with himself physically. Through frustration, acceptance and integration he discovered the healing powers of being present within his body. The body holds and carries deep wisdom and truth. We explore curiosities such as how our consciousness relates to time, how our experiences as kids affect us still to this day and how identity and environment play into our core essence and inner resourcing for strength, resilience and self-worth. We touch on sense of self, character traits, balance and the overwhelm development can bring. When our environment says one thing, but inside we feel something very different, we wake up to our individual needs and desires. Where is the fine line between you and energy around you? Nick's understanding of his own story has evolved as he has. Somatic experiences have been the stabilizing solution for his challenges. Connecting to the body is connection to this reality. What if being out of time and space was the challenge that we label mental health disorders? What our bodies go through is what we grow through. Want to find out the possibilities of what your own unique reality could look like? Want to learn about the value of our own story? Want to learn more? Ellie Gervais is a beautiful soul joining today to dive deep into process and the bliss within the "mess." What if our unique journey was a balance between our own initiative and a magical dance of surrender and trust with the universe? Ellie is a badass transformation coach working with women who desire to exit their toxic cycles and patterns. She highlights maximum growth and how society has taught us to work in a linear way. She brings so much value around exposing the process. Having the courage and integrity to share her open and honest process that is in the making is something that makes her bold and magnetic. She wants to normalize and emphasize the time and steps that happen in the "in-between." In effort to be relatable, she wants to bridge the gap of disconnect when people get caught up in the "how" by taking a deeper look at toxic shame and disruptive dysfunctional relating. Everyone has a unique transformation that is tailored specific to them. Let's dismantle the unrealistic expectations and reveal the meaningful truths for ourselves! She shares her path about immense grief and loss as well as her struggles and strengths that have been born and transformed. Her story is powerfull. I am so proud of her for sharing her authenticity to inspire others. She moves me to feel so much when I am in her presence! Family systems are complex. They are a constant reminder of our shadow parts and pieces as well as our pain points that live through ourselves and our children. Our unconscious patterning as humans can be toxic when we are limited and stuck. When making choices, we have to orient to taking personal ownership and accountability. It is time to take responsibility for who we are, even if it is challenging to admit. We might be used to self-sabotaging or torturing ourselves when we perceive having the courage to say how we feel is harder. Am I willing to be authentic in order to move through the possibility of getting rejected? Nothing feels more painful than to be rejected by someone you love and care about. It is time to start approaching relating in a healthier way. There are supportive ways to trust your process. There are containers that can hold you accountable for your emotional experience. Stay open. Stay curious. Allow yourself to meet you where you truly are rather than where you want to be. It can feel painful to see how we currently are showing up, yet is can provide space to manifest what we really need and how we really want that to look. The magic happens when we can measure the growth and change that occurs over time. Allow the pain out. That is your gift to the world. That is where your power is- in true authentic feeling. Feeling must be allowed, held, practiced and expressed otherwise it will get bigger. How loud are you willing to let feelings get? How much longer are you willing to feel stuck? What is your tolerance? Lend yourself compassion for however you are being guided and led. Embrace your superpower to feel. Let's untangle the projections and get to the feelings sooner. http://www.magicmomentsplay.com
ADOPTiON. AND. CONNECTiON. TO. SELF.
Chris Cannon is an Addictions Therapist and Somatic Spiritual Counselor joining today to share about his journey that relates to his personal life and professional path. At age 13 he was catalyzed to experience the culmination of his adoption trauma. Developmentally, he was redefining his self-awareness at a huge time of identity. Meditation, Sobriety and Trauma Psychotherapy influenced a brand new chapter for Chris. This was what shaped his direction to become a Mental Health Professional. After discovering the transpersonal lens of the mind-body connection, Chris has not looked back and undeniably so! The therapeutic process requires self trust. When the brain interprets "depression and anxiety" to make sense of it, the roots always trace back to nerve impulses and body sensations. Our bodies hold the wisdom that teaches us about our past, present and future. The more we practice this, the more we learn to trust our experience. Chris shares the behaviors and symptoms that he experienced as a child and how hypersensitivity has affected his outlook on life. He also shares with us about how parents can connect authentically with their children, no matter how unique their situation is. With challenges of loss, rejection and sadness, Chris shares that his awareness of less speed is the key to process what feels deliberate and intentional around asking for support, taking a moment to let feelings move and honoring quality time and care for himself. I am so proud of who Chris is and how he is changing the world one life at a time. Check out his work at the collective on http://www.somaticspiritualcounseling.com
i. CAN. HANDLE. FEELiNG. REJECTiON.
What is your relationship to feeling rejection and the feelings that might come with it? Rejection is usually avoided at all costs. Do you perceive you can genuinely express yourself in relationship? Sometimes the fear of being rejected keeps us from speaking out or sharing our truth, which then keeps us stuck when we really want to move more than anything. It is so much easier to wish that the world would be different before ever looking within to see what needs to change with self, first. When you are having a feeling, you get to be the observer to your own experience. What are your emotions trying to teach you? Where are your feelings guiding you? How can your teachers and mentors witness you at deeper levels in and within relationship as they see you take ownership of all parts of who you are? Your experience is guaranteed to be split with acceptance and rejection in effort to create balance. Take yourself in this week. What feels hard to accept about yourself? What feels easier to accept about yourself? How can you track rejection for yourself this week? This takes us so much deeper through our experience when we claim who we are through our own challenges in our own unique experience. If you would like to hear more about rejection, you can watch my Masters Degree Capstone Presentation on "Working with Rejection in Play Therapy" at http://www.magicmomentsplay.com/resources
THE. VALUE. OF. NUTRiTiON. iS. MENTAL. AND. EMOTiONAL. HEALTH.
Dr. Sara Zimmerman is here today to share about how emotional healing, physical changes and health from the inside out starts with awareness, education and knowledge. Truly living life is not about perfection, rather freedom from the stressors of the external pressures in our lives. What lifestyle of health maintenance is best for you? Through functional medicine, there are healthy alternatives for gentle detox as well as measures for sustainable change over time. In today's day we are very pressured to receive quick turn arounds yet our personal journey toward health and wellness is not something that we can change by taking a pill for a quick fix. Change is not overnight. Small steps are very worth it. Quality nutrition is so important and so undervalued. High quality whole foods can take the place of medicine for your brain, gut and body. With mindfulness around consumption, gratitude for nourishment and slowing down to notice, we can quench what we are actually looking for. Trusting what our bodies are needing allows us to get to nourish the depleted parts of ourselves that have been needing to be deeply taken care of. How do you want to make choices today that will impact your tomorrow? Are you willing to spend money now on yourself to invest into your health, for your future self? Remember, the mind body connection is so resilient to how we treat and care for ourselves. When you feel clearly, you can think clearly and you can make empowering decisions for your life. What we are being marketed, told and advertised is not always supportive to our highest wellbeing. When we do not have people in our life to support us, it can be easy to turn to what we are convenienced by. Chemical additives and processed foods are what we grew up with. The industry is VERY MiSLEADiNG for what the body actually needs. This is one of the huge limiting beliefs that get in the way of knowing that healthy foods CAN taste good. Your body WiLL adapt. Dr. Sara talks about how you can find other components to look forward to- like flavor, color and how it might look when you prepare it. What is your relationship to the food you are choosing to consume when you are eating it? Do you eat to get full? Are you paying attention to the textures? Have you received what the food is offering? How are we satisfying our unconscious? How can we step more into conscious decisions? How can we address our blocks for our mental, emotional and physical health? The time is now! Let's take care of our energy! SiMPLE, but NOT EASY... Let's go. http://www.magicmomentsplay.com
