    Hate Christ Now (2023)

    (Lyrics) Jesus Christ will return! It's been a long time coming, about 2,000 years! Since His death on the cross. Like Peter said, “To whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life!” You can hate Christ now, but He won't stop now. Cause He can't stop now, you can hate Christ now. But He won't stop now, cause He can't stop now. You can hate Christ now, you can hate Christ now. Don't hate Christ, hate the root of all evil, money and lies, Hate the pride of life, lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes.  Envision Christ atoning’ your sin, ruling within you, Holy Spirit guiding your path, fruit on the menu. Most exceedingly abundant, everlasting lover, Always closer than a friend, even a brother. Church savior, no one is greater, coming with favor, Two millennia, always on time, even for haters. Father’s kingdom, building with love from above, World leaders, following satan, killing doves! Prince of Peace, coming through, shalom in His hands, Prince of evil, snuffing God’s image, bloody plans. A Father to the fatherless, a healer to the sick, Defender of the widows, His healing game is sick. But don’t follow me, follow Christ the King, He’s the One, the only One with robes and a rings. (Prodigal son) You can hate Christ now, but He won't stop now. Cause He can't stop now, you can hate Christ now. But He won't stop now, cause He can't stop now. You can hate Christ now, you can hate Christ now. You wanna hate Christ then hate Christ, His love for you will never fail! “At that time”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be My people.” This is what the Lord says: They found favor in the wilderness— the people who survived the sword. When Israel went to find rest, the Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you. Again I will build you so that you will be rebuilt, Virgin Israel. You will take up your tambourines again and go out in joyful dancing. You will plant vineyards again on the mountains of Samaria; the planters will plant and will enjoy the fruit. For there will be a day when watchmen will call out in the hill country of Ephraim, “Get up, let’s go up to Zion, to Yahweh our God!” (Jeremiah 31:1-6) But you still wanna hate Christ? What’s it gonna take? You can hate Christ now, but His love for you is everlasting! Believe in Him before He returns, and you will be saved!

    The Everlasting Steadfast Love

    In a world that has made it a priority to redefine love, we will take a moment right now to remember the Author of love. Yes! There is, in fact, love, and it was not invented by man. God revealed Himself as love to His creation as He intimately and intentionally spoke everything into existence from His heart. And He put His breath of life into all of the animals that have ever lived (Genesis 1:30). But none of God's creation was created with the level of intimacy and love that mankind received when God formed us and dedicated us as His image bearers. What must it have been like to be one of the first creatures roaming the earth during the sixth day of creation that had the privilege of watching the God of creation form a human being from the dust of the earth? What must it have been like to watch Him breathe life into his nostrils? It must have been a sight to see, since it was so profoundly incredible that even God had to stop and take note that everything He created was very good! (Genesis 1:31) Let these verses wash you in the deep waters of God's love. Because His love is enduring and unchanging, and it is the same very good love that has the power to breathe life into the dry and decayed places in our humanity.     The Fruitful Disciple

    So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (Genesis 1:27-28) What did God mean when He told Adam to “Be fruitful?” In today’s podcast, we will learn more about being a condemnation free, fruitful ancient disciple in a modern world.     The Patient Disciple

    Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near. Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door! Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we count as blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. (James 5:7-11) Thank God that He is full of compassion and mercy! And aren’t you so glad that God is not like you and I? For today’s episode, we will be talking about patience, and to do so, we will explore a plethora of verses that will shine a light on how we too can be disciples that endure. As we patiently proceed, we will begin to see God’s patience, and the patience that He gives to His disciples. Patience is a lifelong journey that emerges out of great suffering, disappointment, and the unexpected. But the one who endures to the end will be delivered (Matthew 24:13). And when we think for a second that God does not understand how frustrated we are as we are waiting on Him to do what we want, let us thank God that in all of His sovereign majesty, He has better endurance than you and I.     How should disciples of Jesus respond when tragedy rears its ugly head in the world? Like people who are in the world but not of the world. Like people who answer to El Elon, the highest power, and not the systems of the world that are vying for power.     The Lovely Disciple

    The end of all things is near. Therefore be alert and of sober mind so that you may pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.     The Blind Disciple

    Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when He found him, He said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” “Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.” Jesus said, “You have now seen Him; in fact, He is the one speaking with you.” Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped Him. Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.” Some Pharisees who were with Him heard Him say this and asked, “What? Are we blind too?” Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains. (John 9:35-41) In today’s episode, we will talk about Jesus, the Light of the world, who has come to pull the spiritually blind out of the captivity of darkness. And as a Lite Disciple, I am equipped with His vision that finds hope in despair, healing in infirmity, truth in deception, peace in calamity, faith in desolation, and strength in weakness!     The Free Disciple

    In the beginning, God made us free. But freedom does not mean we can do what ever we want to do. God put Adam in the Garden of Eden and told him he was free to eat from any of the trees in the garden; any tree but the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. That raises a question, and this question is a frequently asked one by people who profess to be longstanding followers of Jesus and by people who are just learning about the Bible for the first time. “Why would God put the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden if it would lead to Adam’s fall? God is all knowing, so He knew this would happen. Was this whole thing a set up?” Other than these two truths: One, God is sovereign, and two, He does not tempt people to do evil— in fact James 1:13 says, “When tempted, no one should say, ‘God is tempting me.’ For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He tempt anyone,” this is a great place to just tell you a great biblical principle, one that every Lite Disciple should know very well. Here it is: I don’t know! And no one else really knows why God put this tree in His garden— despite how eloquently they may convince you of their wisdom, because God did not give us a single verse for why that tree was there. www.liteburden.com
