This podcast was realized after my first 2020 Full Moon ceremony which I attended with like minded, innovative and ambitious women. I left the ceremony on a high but I didn’t realize at the time I was to have, which I can only describe as an awakening, a moment of clarity. The next morning I woke up with the vision of this podcast. I am surrounded by women with stories to tell, achievements, heartaches, lessons to share.     #14: Catherine aka Lovici, a local artist sharing her vision for clean lines and bold simplicity.

    Catherine Druken has a calm and welcoming energy. Her studio is warm and simple with lots of natural light and cozy decor. I was greeted with a note on the door “shh podcast in session”. I felt very legit and welcomed. Although Catherine and I kept the conversation light although she does share some intimate moments in regards to her family, I knew she was special. I feel like she is one you could go to have a good cry or to keep your secrets. I was first introduced to Catherine when I came across her design work. Clean lines, simplicity at its finest yet impactful and strong. It has been some time since we spoke and she had some big things in the works.     #13: Rita Winthrop, local food blogger, witty instagrammed & mommy to be!

    Rita Winthrop, you probably know her from her witty Instagram and yummy food blog - she is a mommy to be, very soon - and now that the cat is out of the bag, I can now say she has been amazing through my own pregnancy. The day we taped this podcast, I was early on and wasn’t feeling my greatest. Rita brought me a pregnancy survival kit. Bagels, cream cheese, ginger, you name it, I had it. It was incredibly thoughtful and truly helpful, but that’s just the person she is. I think this episode is timely because I almost everyone I know is pregnant or will be soon. We touch on her pregnancy journey from way before conception to now (only 8 weeks out). We chat about food, duh and how to turn what you have your in pantry, into a yummy and simple meal anyone can make plus some other stuff mixed in. Enjoy!

    Janelle Laurito AKA Live Well With Janelle is a light and I mean that in every sense of the word. She walks around with this aura of warmth and lights up the room. This episode is informative in regards to women’s health but it also has an underlying message about believing in yourself and doing what makes you happy - getting out of your comfort zone and welcoming the challenges it may take to find your place and to share your message. This episode is really just two girls chatting and sharing how one is making a difference in the world after she found her purpose. I have truly seen her transform and now she is about to embark on her biggest role yet, as they say - motherhood. We taped this a while back, prior to the pandemic so her due date is even closer!     #11: Mel, entrepreneur, cycle instructor, model, chef, you name it, she can do it & with a smile.

    Melanie is a light. When you witness her energy on the cycling stage, one on one and through Instagram, it is completely authentic. She is who she is and she isn’t apologizing for it, meaning, she lives her life according to her and I find that incredibly inspiring. She didn’t find her professional calling easily but I think that’s what motivates her to work hard and to keep going, keep striving for greatness. She is an entrepreneur, owner of Power Plant Girls, which provides you with plant based treats. Melanie shares quite a bit about herself in this episode. She shares her journey to finding her tribe at Salt Cycle in Tiverton, RI, her journey to finding her inner beauty which radiates on the outside and her journey in her marriage and all that is to come for Power Plant Girls.     #10: Nick Brownell is a local boy. Just like the rest of us, he has a message to share.

    Nick Brownell runs and manages the local branch of Total Mortgage Newport. He was born and raised on the island and does not have plans of ever moving out of Newport. Can you blame him? Nicks message is clear and it’s one he wanted to get out there for people to hear.
