JJ Owen brought tons of good knowledge to the podcast. The quote from JJ above resonated heavily because nobody has all the answers. We learn from sharing our stories, which is exactly what makes The Unique Piece so great.

When taking on a movement such as the Movember Foundation, I think one of the things that gets lost sometimes is that in order to get involved, you don't have to do it all at once. Speaking about the 1% shifts in what you focus helped me a ton with managing my expectations as we get a little closer to 2018.

Also, JJ mentioned, “It’s just two people, but that’s all it takes sometimes.” One of the biggest things I was thankful for this past Thanksgiving is for a new understanding of perspective, which is what helps me a lot when I am in my grind. Having that perspective and that knowledge that change happens all the time, all at once, slowly over time, or a hybrid of both, and that the more conversations we have, the better we will undesrtand our own situations. It could also lead to building more empathy towards others who have different struggles than ourselves.

Godd stuff. Definitely worth the listen!

Bummed about this because I think I would like this podcast, the messages and content but after 20 minutes of listening I found the background music far too distracting. I think it would be best if it’s just the host and guests talking. The music is very distracting and makes it difficult to even hear what is being said. I think that’s ashamed because obviously looks like a lot of effort was put in; with some great folks but for that sole reason I just can’t hang. If you remove the background music please update me and I’ll re subscribe. I would have sent private feedback but don’t think it’s possible. Regardless I appreciate your good efforts in creating quality content - my message is meant to help and give my personable audience feedback. Thanks
