Like most people around the world, my life has  been governed  by the pandemic. Currently, I am based in Singapore. I have been here for the most part of the last 12 months, but I also have just recently come back from a trip to Melbourne, Australia. This gave me an opportunity to see how Melbourne looked like coming out of lock down compared to here. I lived through the first year of the pandemic in Melbourne and I remember how I felt living it.

    We duck dive a few minutes to discuss TikTok and why it differs from other social media platforms. Is it safe? How much data is actually gathered by the platform? Its just social media! The issues relating to surveillance and security is alarming and most people wouldn't even realise the dangers of how this data can be potentially be used by the Chinese state government. The US is looking to ban it  but it seems  Australia is not overly concerned with this Chinese owned company that runs the platform.     Living his perfect life, Alvin has been in the photography industry for over 15 years.  He is a qualified hairdresser who realised that his passion was not just about 'hair'! He his a self taught photographer and has learnt his tricks through a lot of trial and error. Like many businesses this year, he has had to wait it out and stay positive, even having to postpone his own wedding plans. He is upbeat and positive and was very kind with his time sharing his story with us.
