When he was 15 years old, he found it hard to sing due to pain in his chest; after multiple doctor sessions, he was told he had achalasia, a disease of the esophagus that makes eating impossible. After being in the hospital, he still had a desire to perform his favorite songs. He’s performed for many people on stages and enjoys bringing a smile to patients in hospitals, especially since he knows the power of lyrics; he wants to give that feeling to others.     Our inspirational guest Susan Omilian has worked to end violence against women for the last forty years. At a young age, she knew she loved helping women who felt like they didn’t have a voice in a male dominant world. She then went on and founded a rape crisis center and represented battered women in divorce proceedings. At the age of 49, her world turned upside down; her niece Maggie was brutally murdered at the age of 19; she then found out Maggie was a victim of domestic abuse.     Andy, our last caller, is a freshman in college and has trouble keeping up with her schoolwork. She feels she has failed her parents due to her low grades.
