Local Harmony Classics: Ep. One, Josh from Rosemoor

In lieu of the new distribution of the Central Valley Music Podcast on major platforms, such as apple podcasts, and also, to fill the lull during my breaks in-between new pods, we are introducing Local Harmony Classics, taken from the first forty podcasts originally released on sound cloud. Maybe, you haven't heard these interviews or artists, maybe, you want to take a trip down memory lane. Regardless, I think you'll enjoy this limited series of older podcasts and artists. Josh gave a great first interview and helped me realize the potential that an iphone and good taste can provide for a baseline for creation. Original posting bio: Josh is a prolific producer and songwriter local to the Fresno music scene. He has several different albums and has the side projects, Heavenly Body, and Trying is the First Step towards Failure, are both worth your time checking out. The Tsunami Warning Podcast

Tsunami Warning is an indie rock band from Merced, Cal. consisting of Jack, rhythm and lead vocals; Hans, lead guitarist; Ziggy, on the drums, and Kierran. who plays sick bass. We chilled and talked about the story behind the formation of their band, which includes hitting Ziggy on the head with Barbasol, the band's favorite songs, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, and the meaning behind lyrics, Jim Morrison, and us talking shop. We had lots of fun. Enjoy me and the boys talking about their music, promoting their talent, and digging into the inspiration behind their music. Zakk, Ronnie, Keoni, & Liz from Low Spell

The @lowspell podcast is here and we have the pleasure to chill with Zakk, Ronnie, Keoni, & Liz who make up the Fresno Californian noise psych band. Zakky Blunts plays guitar and sings, Keoni ‘Crazy K Bong Water Revolver’ plays rhythm guitar and lead, Ronnie Ray Reefer plays drums, and Lizzie Stizzy plays bass in your face. We hung out with some PBRs on this pod and talked about the band’s history, doing a special shout out to @eighteenhundreds where Zakk, Liz and Ronnie had met and played together. Keoni came into the band’s lineup through a friendship sparked via a Facebook Marketplace pedal purchase. All members have a passion for creating, recording and performing their special brand of rock music. It was lots of fun discussing their music. And we also talk about what powers they’d want if they were a unicorn. But more importantly, we talk about their ‘emotional shoegaze’, their influences, like Justin Vernon, who’s not actually an incel, and Creedence Clearwater Revival. And we chat in depth about the sonics of their music. It was for sure fun talking to Low Spell, and we enjoyed the Sunday afternoon buzz while talking music. It was, for sure, far out. Listen for an interview, three Low Spell songs, local musician shout outs, and an expression of love for the making of music.
