Episode 30: Lock Stock and One Smoking Danny

Episode 30: Lock Stock and One Smoking Danny

Here is episode 30. And it's time for another guest. On this episode we have Danny. We've mentioned him a bit through out the history of our podcast. He's our cousin and the host of the Youtube channel Danny's Retro Crash and Burn. So head over there and give him a little watch and sub. In the episode we're not going to talk about a Final Fantasy game like we have with the previous guest episodes. Instead we're going to talk about a little game called Moonlighter, which we actually recommended to Danny a while back. Let's get into it.

Intro Song "Out of Ashes" by Andy Rinaldi.

    Title Art by Devious.Pixel.

Music bed during the social media preamble by Brandon Little.

    Sweet Jams: "Beyond the Gates"

                             "The Moonlighter"

                             "Forbidden Steps"

                             "Village of Rynoka"

                             "Botanical Brigade"

                             "The Heroic Merchant"

                             "Energy Flux"

All these tracks and many others can be found on the Moonlighter OST by David Fenn. This dude is a genius musically.

That sweet rock jam you hear at the end is currently what Danny uses for his Youtube show. Believe it or not it's a stock song for the PS4 Share factory called "Accelerate Instrumental". It's way too good.

And here at the end is all the places you can find us skulking around the internet:

    That is all.

Episode 29: Blood all over the science facility, blood all over the water, and blood all over the wood.

Welcome to episode 29! This one is rated R for gore. We talk about the games Carrion and Maneater. Then we talk about the band Bloodywood. Good stuff in here.

Intro song "Out of Ashes" by Andy Rinaldi.

    Title art by Devious.Pixel.

Music bed during the intro by Brandon Little.

    Sweet Jams: "Main Theme"

                             "Eternal Adversary"

                             "Metamorphosis"

All these and a few others can be found on the Carrion OST by Cris Velasco.

                            "Shark in the River"

                            "Fifteen Foot"

                            "Arc Shark"

All these and a few others can be found on the Maneater OST by Daniel James.

                             "Endurant"

Song by Bloodywood. No album yet but watch the video I talked about HERE.

Episode 28: A bunch of fools on a boat that's a necropolis and traveling with two horsemen tying to stop the apocalypse.

And here we have episode 28. Fair warning, there is a lot of hate for the games in this episode but we turn it around with a fantastic tv show. The games are Man of Medan and Darksiders Genesis. And the show is The Haunting of Hill House.
Intro Song " Out of Ashes" by Andy Rinaldi.
    Title Art by Devious.Pixel.
Music bed by Brandon Little from Metal and More Soundscapes.
    Sweet Jams: "Where's the Skipper"
                             "The Temerity of Youth"
                             "Tempestuous Waters"
                             "Ghost Ship"
All these and a few others can be found on the Man of Medan OST.
                             "Main Menu Theme"
                             "Combat Theme"
Now these are not the correct names but these tracks are from the Darksiders Genesis OST.
                             "Opening Credits Theme"
This is just the opening credits theme for the show.
Now what in the world was that last thing you heard on the end there? That was "I'm a Flamingo" by the hilarious and wildly talented Marc Rebillet. He steams and improves song right off the top of his head. He's also been on tours where he does the same thing live. Check him out, he's alot of fun.

Episode 27: Musical dragon weapons and dating the folks who wield them.

Here is episode 27. We focus on one game in this episode and intend to give away a physical copy of the game to who ever pays enough attention to our nonsense. At the end I'll point you in the direction of an amazing band, Atomship.

Intro song "Out of Ashes" by Andy Rinaldi.

    Title art by Devious.Pixel.

New music bed jam by Brandon Little. Check his FB page Metal and More Soundscapes.

    Sweet Jams: "Title Theme"

                             "Zest's Primacy"

                             "Beach Battle"

All of these and a lot more can be found on the Shining Resonance Refrain OST. Most of the songs were too long for me to use in the podcast but there is plenty more music to hear.

                              "Mothra"

This is from the band Atomship and is on their only album The Crash of '47. This song will be added to the podcast playlist right after I post this.

Episode 26 has arrived. It's going to be a good one. In the episode we talk about to games and a movie. The games are Astro Bot: Rescue Mission and Bear With Me: Complete Edition. The movie we try to sell to you is Come to Daddy.

Intro Song "Out of Ashes" by Andy Rinaldi.

                             "Follow Me Into The Storm"

                             "Decidedly Spooky"

                             "Tite Mites Crystal Caves"

                             "A Fire In Your Mind"

All these jams and many others can be found on the Astro Bot OST. It's Very good and perfectly fits the game.

                             "Title Screen Theme"

Terrible name, creepy song. This is from the Bear With Me OST.

Episode 25: Gamefly heard we got Gamepass. They sent orange clad ninjas to make us reconsider.

Episode 25: Gamefly heard we got Gamepass. They sent orange clad ninjas to make us reconsider.

You know what time it is. It's Gamefly time. We're going to talk about three games we rented from there and that they saved us from wasting money on. The games are Danganrompa 1-2 Reload, Assassin's Creed: Rogue Rmastered, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. Then we spend quite a bit of time talking about what is almost certainly our favorite album of all time, Coheed and Cambria's The Afterman.

Intro Song "Out of Ashes" by Andy Rinaldi.

Title art by Devious.Pixel. You can find him on Instagram.

    Sweet Jams: "Danganronpa"

Surely you can guess what game this song is from.

                             "Main Theme"

This is the main theme from Assassin's Creed: Rogue. You don't always have to be clever with names.

                             "Skies Unknown"

This is also the main theme but from Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. Again names don't have to be clever.

                              "The Hollow"

"Key Entity Extraction V: Sentry the Defiant"

Both of these are by Coheed and Cambria from their incredible album The Afterman.

And finally for social media you can search for us by our full name or just Two Smoking Controllers. We're on Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit.

Lastly Blake sometimes streams on Twitch. And I have created a Spotify playlist. You can find those by searching the way I mentioned above.

Clyde Witt ,

Love games? Check these guys out.

Andrew and Blake are more than just two super chill brothers -- they're legitimately passionate about gaming. They've got a talent for bouncing ideas off of one another, and it's fantastic hearing some old-school music in there.

Great job on the podcast, guys! Can't wait to hear more!
