The mission of the Board of Regents is to serve as the state’s leading force for talent development through quality, affordable post-secondary education for all. To achieve our mission, we adopted a Master Plan that focuses on developing talent - with a goal of reaching 60% of Louisiana’s working adults to achieve a college degree or certificate of value by 2030. In other words, we have to double our numbers!
This podcast is designed to showcase visionary leaders, innovative ideas, and best practices around access, success, and equity for all college students.

National Perspectives at Meauxmentum, Part 2
In February, the Board of Regents hosted its second statewide Meauxmentum Summit, a collection of institutional Academic Deans and Department Chairs as well as advising, faculty, and student affairs leaders to support each campus’s implementation of Louisiana’s Meauxmentum Framework student success strategies.
At the end of the first day, Commissioner Kim Hunter Reed chaired a National Perspectives Panel which focused on how the Meauxmentum work in Louisiana can be connected to national strategies to improve student outcomes and close equity gaps.
The national experts on this year's panel were Ruth Watkins (Strada), Julie Adams (Strong Start to Finish), Nia Haydel (Complete College America), and John Lane (SHEEO).

Draft, and National Hockey League All-Star Weekend, among others.
His work extends to renowned immersive destinations like The World of Coca-Cola and The National World War
II Museum.

As Chair of the Louisiana Board of Regents, he brings this same innovative spirit to advancing education.

Master Plan Year 4 and Academic Planning with Dr. Tristan Denley
On the cusp of releasing the Master Plan Year 4 update, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tristan Denley shared with our podcast audience the latest data trends as they relate to the Master Plan 2030 Goal. He also shared a high-level overview of Regents' 2023 Academic Planning Process and detailed how institutions will now submit a three-year academic plan to the Board of Regents.
