🙌🏾 Serving Yah is a Journey of FAITH! In this episode I am sharing with you the importance of building up your trust in God through prayer journaling. Trust is the FOUNDATION of our relationship with God and we must be vigilant about building and maintaining it. What is Trust? Trust is firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. What is Faith? Faith is complete trust, confidence, or firm belief in something, often without tangible proof. Scripture References: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6 26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. 29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. 30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. John 20:26-31 KJV A few notes about Trust/Faith: * Faith is belief in action - Because you believe you do something or you become something. 11 For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. 12 So then death worketh in us, but life in you. 13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 2 Corinthians 4:13 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. - Hebrews 11:1 * Faith is a muscle that needs to be exercised: 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:13-15 & 17 How Prayer Journaling Taught Me to Trust God (Even When It Was Hard) * It gave me a tangible place to go and spend time with the intangible God. * It keeps Yah’s track record of answered prayers * It invokes bible study, giving me answers to questions, changing my perspective, and reminding me of His power - His word is actively writes back to me. 12 For the word of God is living and active and full of power [making it operative, energizing, and effective]. It is sharper than any two-edged [b]sword, penetrating as far as the division of the [c]soul and spirit [the completeness of a person], and of both joints and marrow [the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.
