    Chapter Two (The deconstruction and Rebuilding of my Faith)

    I grew so much as a spiritual being while putting together this podcast series.  Believe it or not, I actually began to question what I was reading while I was studying the bible deeply in order to put out these videos.  God let me know that there was more and that I needed to shift my spirituality and shift my circles.  It was a very painful and lonely process, but now I am beginning to attract more like minded people with the theology of love, not dogma.  This new chapter will continue to focus on love and healing, just in a slightly different way.  Stay tuned:)

    Hebrews Ch: 1-6 deep study

    I do a deep study of Hebrews Ch1-6.  Some points include:  1) digesting the word in order to produce fruit. (double edged sword)  2) Being a servant in order to be a good leader  3) The positive connotation of weakness and meekness in the bible as opposed to in our culture   I got a lot of cool insights out of these chapters and I hope you do as well.  Enjoy!     1 Peter 4: Biblical Meekness

    I read 1 Peter 4 and was very encouraged by it this weekend!  I highly recommend reading the full chapter.  This whole book has a lot of very practical theology.  This book mentions love covering a multitude of sins and led me to talk about meekness.  Meekness is very important during trying times, but we must look to scripture for the definition instead of the world's definition.  Meek does not equal weak, it is actually quite the contrary. instagram: @loveoutloud595

    Zechariah 3 and 4 (The Branch, Olive Tree, and Lampstand)

    I talk about these prophetic imageries in the OT book of Zechariah. Literally the whole bible can be summarized like this: "Stay connected to the source so that you can produce fruits of the spirit (love joy peace patience kindness goodness thankfulness gentleness self-control) and then spread light and love into the world. Therefore, be the hands and feet of Jesus. But we can't do that work and will be unproductive if we don't stay connected to the source.     Surrendering Your Anxiety

    Sometimes we can get so used to our habits that they rewire our brain.  Let's take Anxiety for example.  We can get so used to worrying, jumping to conclusions, ect that we do not realize that it is actually changing the structure of our brain!  Now we are at a point that is seems we cannot break out of it.  No matter what area you struggle with it is extremely difficult to break out of bad habits.  Be encouraged and know that you are still loved.  Accept the fact that this is going to take a lot of trying and a lot of failing.  In turn, this will produce a lot of humility!  Be encouraged and know that there is no growth in discomfort!  Life is a journey, so let's embrace the journey of growth instead of chasing perfection:)   What has helped you all break out of toxic or addictive cycles and do you have any advice for others?  You can send a voice message in Anchor or leave a comment or DM on Instagram @loveoutloud595

    2 Corinthians 4: 16-18

    This is a very encouraging verse about persevering in times of trouble.  I read this in multiple translations and also include some commentary that I put on it.  It also goes along with what my pastor talked about this morning, which is giving God access to EVERY area of your life and not letting the enemy put his foot in the door.  I personally have some areas where I have let the enemy chill for far too long!  And he can only do that if we welcome him (weather willingly or deceitfully on his part).  These verses were much needed and encouraged me to keep going.  I hope it encourages you as well:).     Lights During a Time of Darkness
