I’m the first commenter yaaay
I’m a film weirdo and I’ve been following Adam Ganser and Maggie Mae Fish for about 15 years and always look forward to any projects that they and their various cohorts put out… So when I heard these two beans were making a David Lynch podcast I was as excited as Dennis Hopper with a full tank of nitrous oxide! The first episode is The Straight Story and, as usual, I loved Maggie and Adam’s whipcrack film insight. Maggie always has surprising and unique insights that completely pass me up, and opinions that you don’t hear from other podcasters, who mostly just regurgitate popular online theories. Adam continues to seamlessly meld his technical cinematographic skills into the conversation, as well as his long-running (and maybe sexual?) fetishism of telephoto lenses, which is to be expected coming from such a storied director.
All in all, the chemistry between these two very real and very close friends is always palpable, and always makes me happy. 😃
Really looking forward to the review of Wild At Heart, and more Harry Dean Stanton talk… and maybe even some Lynch shorts about creepy alphabets…?
Yay!
Been waiting for this!
