Great interviews done in a somewhat unconventional style. Might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but he’s done/lived the research. Deep dives into topics, personalities and music. Highly recommend.

I just discovered this podcast at someone else’s recommendation. Bob and his guests are typically great (unless they’re young and famous or old and British). Other than that, after the first season he decided to include several 2.5 minute ads randomly in each episode and they became a nuisance. I have been listening for about a month and am now in about Spring 2020. Not sure I can make it to 3/2026 if the bombardment of 3-minute ads continue

His interviews are more like an interrogation. This nebbish also talks to his guests like he knows everything and everyone.

I listen to 90% of Bob’s podcasts and really enjoy them. He asks the tough and uncomfortable questions, even ones I wouldn’t ask but I’m glad he does. And he almost always has excellent guests, even the ones I’m not familiar with usually end up being interesting
