My Weekly Tech Companion

Mac Geek Gab has been a weekly must-listen for me for a long time now. It’s the perfect blend of practical tips, smart troubleshooting, and occasional surprises that make using my Mac, iPhone, and even my Apple TV so much smoother. More than once, they’ve covered exactly the little glitch or quirky issue I was experiencing — often before I even think to Google it. Their advice is clear and easy to follow, even for non-technical folks. I also appreciate the touches of home automation discussions sprinkled in — they’re just enough to inspire new ideas without feeling overwhelming. And the occasional life hacks that have nothing to do with tech are always a nice bonus. If you’re an Apple user — beginner or seasoned — do yourself a favor and subscribe. You’ll walk away each week with new tricks, time-saving tips, and a better understanding of your devices. Highly recommended!
Works for me - my definite Do Not Miss!
Jun 10
I'm a Unix guy from the early 80's amd only got into Macs when they switched to Intel. Even then, I was still much more involved with Unix and Linux than Mac. I didn't even buy an iPhone until Series 5! I'm much more in the Apple ecosystem now - watch, phone, Mac, HomePod, Apple TV. I know my way around quite well (I worked retail sales at an Apple store from 2015 until COVID) but there is still plenty that I do not know and this show often fills in gaps for me. Yes, sometimes I get annoyed when one of them will say something incorrect that they could have avoided by a quick visit to Apple.com, but overall, I like the show and although I listen sporadically to many other podcasts, this is the one I do not miss. It has definitely become my favorite. John is gone, but Pilot Pete often asks questions that ordinary users might, adding a LOT to the show and Dave is always knowledgeable and fun. Update: Since adding a third host, I agree with others who say there is too much gab now. I am still listening, but am not enjoying it as much. It’s NOT the fault of any specific host; it’s just that three people have too much to say. BUT: They did such a great job on WWDC 25 that I’m restoring my 5 star rating. I wish they’d do more dedicated exploration shows!
Thanks for all you do

THE Best Mac/Apple product-related podcast
May 11
Hands down the best Mac/Apple-product-related podcast out there. I don’t know what I enjoy more, the “Geek” part, where they impart many practical useful tips each week, either from themselves or listeners, or the “Gab” part, where they talk among themselves and offer helpful insights, usually with a humorous slant that is very fun to listen to. I only became aware of these guys the last couple of months, but have listened every week over and over again. I am even going back in their episode list and working my way backwards to listen to past podcasts. I only have about 1,000 more to go, but I’ll get there, ha ha.
