    Pray Your Work

    The celebration of ‘Old Soul, New Creation,’ continues as Jake and Hannah invite you further into Jake’s new book with behind-the-scene conversations on the podcast including the overarching theme of prayer that maps out the layout of the book. Inspired by a genuine framework of prayer in Jake’s life as an artist, the book follows suit in that four total prayers, written by Jake,  are included throughout. How does one “pray without ceasing” as scripture tells us to. Jake breaks down a monastic Latin phrase he lives by, “Ora et labora,” translated as “pray your work,” and what this looks like practically as a dedicated husband, a father to four children and an ever-increasing demand for his time. Jake encourages listeners to “learn to love what must be done” and turn even the most mundane routines of life into prayer.     Resurrecting Old Hymns For a New Generation
