    The Calling to missions is not reserved for a select few—it flows from the very heart of God and is extended to every follower of Jesus. From Genesis to Revelation, God reveals Himself as a missionary God, pursuing humanity and inviting His Church to join in His redemptive plan (Missio Dei). In the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19–20), Jesus commands all believers to “go and make disciples of all nations,” making missions not optional but central to our identity and purpose as the Church. And this calling begins with God’s initiative, not human ambition. Throughout Scripture, God calls His people—Abraham to bless the nations, Moses to deliver His people, the prophets to speak truth, and ultimately Jesus as the perfect missionary. In the same way, believers are called to go—whether across the world or across the street—living as witnesses of Christ. While some are called to specific ministries like missions or church planting, every believer shares the same purpose: to make Jesus known through both word and action. And Lastly, the purpose of missions is to glorify God by reaching those who have not yet encountered the gospel. Missions bridge this gap through proclamation and demonstration, meeting both spiritual and physical needs. At the same time, missions transform the messenger, cultivating dependence on God and shifting hearts from self-centered living to kingdom-centered living. Despite modern challenges, the mission remains urgent: to proclaim God’s name, live in obedience, and pursue eternal impact for His glory.
