Steam Locomotives were some of the most powerful machines ever built. They represent vision, ingenuity, collaboration, and extraordinary human achievement. However, to get to the next destination, they had to be directed to the mainline. This required someone directing the train through a series of switches to reach the right destination. Just like these amazing machines, leaders and organizations alike need the right direction to reach their destinations. Intelligent Leadership is the key to success and cultural transformation. With over 50 years of combined success in executive leadership, cultural transformation, and executive and emerging leader development, Rich Baron and Maikel Bailey bring to light some of the most pressing issues facing leaders and organizations today. Hand picked and trained by the world’s top leadership development authority, John Mattone, we will partner with you to improve your leadership ability and cultural transformation in ways you never thought possible. The Beauty and Joy of Conflict Resolution
Where there are people, there is conflict. As a leader, you will face conflict - it is inevitable. for this reason, conflict resolution is a must-have skill for leaders.
Why must conflict resolution be so important as a leader you ask? Because we each have our values, needs, and habits, it's easy to misunderstand or irritate one another. Left unchecked, conflict can lead to bad decisions and outright disputes, bullying, or harassment. Teamwork breaks down, morale drops and projects grind to a halt. Organizations feel hit with wasted talent, high absenteeism, and increased staff turnover.
Conflict can and must be resolved quickly. Conflict can clear the air, it can bring issues to light, strengthen relationships, and spark innovation – so long as you don't try to ignore it!
Rich and Maikel discuss the importance of conflict resolution on Mainline Executive Coaching ACT.

Are You Facing The Daily Grind Or Just Being Ground Up
To be great requires an impeccable work ethic, and doing the necessary work is inescapable. Though each of us has our own journey, the known formula for success seems universal – work hard, stay committed, perfect your craft, sharpen the saw, and take advantage of opportunities. Yet, there is an even more common mantra that sets a solid line of differentiation between two types of people - work smarter, not harder.
Rich and Maikel discuss the differences between hard work, and simply being ground up on this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT.

Prescription Before Diagnosis Is Malpractice
In coaching, as in medicine, prescription before diagnosis is malpractice.
Why is this statement so true? The answer is simple - before you are set on a path to develop your personal leadership abilities, it is critical to know which path you must start on. Simply stating that you need communication skills, or need to become a better critical thinker is not coaching. It is as we said, malpractice. The same would apply if you walked into a doctor's office and before diagnosing the problem, you were out the door with some prescription that may not come close to solving the problem. In fact, it could make the issues worse. The same concept applies to culture and the need to identify the issues before putting a plan in place to transform the organization.
Rich and Maikel discuss the importance of diagnosis before a plan is put in place on this episode of Mainline Executive Coaching ACT.
