किशोर कुमार हिंदी फ़िल्मों की एक नायाब आवाज़ हैं जो विविध रूपों में अपने चाहने वालों के दिलों में समाये हैं। हिंदी फ़िल्मों के सन् ५०-६० के स्वर्णिम युग से आज तक शायद सिर्फ़ किशोर कुमार ऐसे गायक हुए हैं जिनके अलग-अलग “मूड्स” के संकलन निकले, जैसे “रोमांस विद् किशोर”, “फनी किशोर”, “किशोर के दर्द भरे गीत”, “क्रेज़ी विद् किशोर”, “एनेर्जेटिक किशोर” आदि। (याद रहे, ये स्पॉटिफ़ाई से पहले का ज़माना था)
उनकी गायकी को हदों में बाँधना तो मुश्किल है ही, शब्दों में बाँधना और भी मुश्किल है। पर ये कारनामा प्रसिद्ध लेखक-अनुवादक सुशोभित ने बख़ूबी अंजाम दिया है। मेरे जैसे फ़ैन्स, जिनके लिये किशोर की आवाज़ का मज़ा गूँगे का गुड़ जैसा है, ये लेख अपने दिल की बात कहते हैं।
4 अगस्त को किशोर कुमार का जन्मदिन है। मेरे पॉडकास्ट के आज के एपिसोड में मैंने सुशोभित के ये शानदार लेख आप के लिये पढ़े हैं, सुनिये 😊🙏🏼
