Been a listener for few years, but seriously can’t anymore. Love you guys and what you do but the Youtube algorithm and viewers downturn and the impact on your life has taken over the show. The last five episodes couldn’t get past the 10 min mark as you slip into YT bashing rants. I do understand your frustration, and if you do this intentionally God bless. But that’s not for me. I enjoy the life stories on the side but I lost what I came here for originally. I love Jimmy but I can’t relate to his giant machines and multiple shops and farm life. Love bob but never related to his work especially in electronics and Fusion stuff. Loved David and his videos but listening to him obsess about mental issues and introversion has changed my view of his content. Please don’t take this comment as bashing you guys, cuz I love all three of you, and I write out of loyalty since this is my 1st comment ever. I couldn’t find the email address I heard before anywhere here. All the best guys

I recently binged the last 3 years of this podcast. Although Diresta was primarily what drew me to listen, as the show progresses through the years, the most likable and relatable person to me is actually Bob Clagett. Here are my takeaways from a listener’s point of view: • the podcast is essentially about 3 guys slowly coming to terms with the inevitable ends of their YouTube careers - maybe not the ends of their careers so much as the evolution of them; • it lacks any clearly defined pathway for both them and the audience to follow. I’m sure they have an idea of what they wanted to do with the show when they first set out, but are they still doing it now? Or who knows, maybe they just kind of set the show’s parameters up as, let’s do a podcast of us having a normal weekly conversation catching up. It definitely works in many ways — • all 3 of them are extremely likable people; • and, Diresta’s charm, sense of humor, and optimism makes him the heart of the podcast, even though it feels as if Clagett is the binding force. My advice to Bob (I’m sure you’ll be thinking I should mind my own business) - get rid of the Ghia. You were so much more happy without it being such a burden to you.
You want to know WHY???

You're losing YouTube viewers because your content is not relatable to the average Joe/Jo Shmoe. We want to see you doing things in cramped crapholes like we have, not the fancy shops with tools most of us could never get our hands on. Amaze us with your basic skills, not your fancy toys.
Bob has got to stop.

Been listening to the show for many years. I love all three of you guys but Bob has got to stop spending so much time complaining and pontificating about his YouTube channel’s decline in viewership. I’m a big fan of all three of you. I’ve watched every video of each of yours for probably a decade. None of your subscribers care about your video titles. None of your subscribers care about your thumbnails. We accept you have to make gimmicky titles and thumbnails to get new views. We’re fine with that. All of your videos are entertaining and well produced. You’re absolutely right about that. You SHOULD be bigger than you are. David obviously understood this and did what needed to be done. That’s why his channel is growing again. And you know what? He’s ALSO been making the best videos of his career recently. His personality is shining through the clickbate titles and thumbnails no one cares about anyway. I’ve been making knife scales full time since 2018 and a lot of that is social media and SEO marketing. Way more than I expected. Way more than I’d like. I hate it but it has to be done according to what the all-mighty algorithm demands. It’s just how commerce is done these days if I want to keep being creative for a living. It turns my stomach to hear a guy complain constantly about a decline in viewership (or sales) When he knows why it’s happening and just doesn’t want to adapt to the changes in his marketplace. We all go through this now in the digital age. YouTube, Google, Instagram, Etsy… all of them make changes every year and it’s a pain in the butt. What worked last year probably won’t work as well this year. But online marketing is a game that requires you play it or get left behind. Bob, play the YouTube game or just get out of the YouTube business man. If you don’t want to play the game you can’t complain that you didn’t score any points.
