If blue-eyed songstress Judy Blank would tell you she grew up in some sun-soaked town in California, you’d probably believe her. But nothing could be further from the truth. Hailing from The Netherlands, the young singer-songwriter is not afraid to fuse musical genres, influenced by several pilgrimages across the southern United States. On her breakthrough LP Morning Sun, a 1970s inspired coming-of-age confessional, she effortlessly mixes traditional folk and groovy americana. From the green-eyed soul of her hit single "Mary Jane" to the jagged-edged ballad of "Tangled Up in You", she can hit all the notes. Even living legends praise her songwriting skills; her song ‘1995’ was called a favorite by none other than Sir Elton John. judyblank.com
Tommy Williams and Kenny Forgione
Tommy Williams and Kenny Forgione have been leading the Long Island based tribute band Wonderous Stories since 1994. The group of musicians also including Ricky Martinez, Kevin McCann and Mark Bonder started out as a YES tribute band and began incorporating other mainly progressive rock songs and artists in their repertoire. The band grew a massive following locally and started playing much larger venues while Tommy Williams joined the band The Hooters in 2010 and tours with them internationally. In 2009 Kenny and Tommy launched the "Concert for Bangladesh Revisited" which recreates the original George Harrison led benefit concert annually at venues in the NY metro area. The 3 hour long extravaganza is set to return this year at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on November 26th, 2021. Over the years the concert has featured special guests including members of Paul McCartney & Wings and The Young Rascals as well as our host, Jann Klose. facebook.com/groups/681898382676031

A Podcast For Everyone
I am a podcast enthusiast. Making sound is now the podcast I look most forward to listening to. Jann interviews people from all areas of the music business. The interviews provide personal insights into the lives of the people profiled. Jann does a great job making his guests feel comfortable. He weaves his own experiences with those of his guests. The shows are not just about music, they are about life-the daily struggles that we all face, and the ups and downs of those who work in the music field. I am always inspired by the stories, and they motivate me to pick up my instrument, sing, and to compose original music. Thanks Jann for being one of the highlights of my week!
