Laura Vinroot Poole on Women and Fashion

Laura Vinroot Poole on Women and Fashion

Laura Vinroot Poole has survived breast cancer and recently lost her mother. We talk about her wonderful Mom who just passed, her love for her native North Carolina, her Dad’s races for Governor, her black designer wedding gown she got for $75 at a thrift store in San Francisco, the NC Republican Party and whether it has a future, and too much about my ignorance of women’s fashion given that I have three daughters (and she has a daughter as well). Laura Vinroot Poole has her own podcast on the QUEEN CITY PODCAST NETWORK which you should definitely check out. It’s called WHAT WE WORE and it’s about people, not just fashion. Laura flies to Europe multiple times a year and she really knows fashion. She owns and runs her own stores: CAPITOL (Charlotte) CAPITOL BRENTWOOD, TABOR, and POOLE SHOP.

She describes herself as “fashion retail’s entrepreneurial rule-breaker.” Indeed.

Pure Inspiration about a Nashville Institution

Podcast host and interviewer extraordinaire Stuart Watson does it again with this incredivle interview of Amy Kurland, the entrepreneurial genius behind the inconic and legendary Bluebird Cafe in Nashville. I loved everything about this episode including learning about Amy’s family roots in music and her entrepreneurial journey to developing her songwriting sanctuary for up and coming musical talent. If you enjoy hearing diverse and inspiring stories of amazing women, this one won’t disappoint!
