As an Actor he has performed with theaters such as: NY Public Theatre’s “Shakespeare in the Park”, The Pearl Theatre Company, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Chautauqua Theatre Company, Kinetic Theatre Company, and the Shakespeare Theatre of DC.
With MTCA [Musical Theater College Auditions -- mtca.nyc], he has been helping prospective theatre students through the college process for over 15 years. As a Teacher and Director, he is able to do a few of his favorite things in life: help students to find their authentic selves as artists, and then help them find their best fit for their collegiate journey. Through this podcast, he hopes to continue that work as well as help demystify this intricate process.

Whether you’re interested in the college experience, a career in the performing arts, or are simply a supportive parent or loved one of an aspiring performer, this is the podcast for you! Each episode is filled with pertinent information, cleverly posed questions and witty banter. The host Charlie’s mid-toned smooth jazz voice brings an air of youthfulness juxtaposed with an endearing rumble of authority (you should really hear his accents). The college deep dive episodes are immensely informative, giving listeners a peek into each college with a litany of topics from auditioning, performances, program successes and unique features. Charlie explores the personal side of the professors as well, letting the listener get a preview of what it might be like to spend 4 years as a student with these fine educators. The artist exploration episodes will help perspective and aspiring performers understand the ins and outs of the college experience, honing their craft and breaking into the business with success and failures as Charlie talks to current artists in the business. Generally each episode has an entertaining silly game between host and guest and, my favorite part, “reflections” by host Charlie and producer Meghan where key take aways are shared and expounded upon.
