Maribor Is The Future je interdisciplinarni umetniški podcast, ki nastaja v skupnosti GT22 in z njeno pomočjo. Dotika se področij filma, gledališča, intermedijske umetnosti, izobraževanja, teorije in dobrih praks. Redno je predvajan tudi na Radiu MARŠ, ponavadi ob ponedeljkih ob 21. uri. Maribor Is The Future is an interdisciplinary art podcast created in the GT22 community in Maribor and with the help of its members. It touches on the fields of film, theater, intermedia art, education, theory and good practice.     Intimni oder GT22 10 let - Pogovor gledalca z gledalci

    ali pet ljudi različnih generacij in profesij odprto deli delček sebe z našim uprizoritvenim prostorom Sproščena izmenjava vtisov obiskovalcev Intimnega odra. O tisti predstavi ali tistem gledališkem trenutku iz GT22, ki je pustil najmočnejši vtis. O ediciji - detajlu festivala Prestopi, o katerem razmišljamo še danes. O tem, kaj, kako teater v mestu pred in kako z Momentom, kako z Intimnim odrom in z nami, ki smo ljubitelji_ce gledališke – uprizoritvene umetnosti. Poskus pogovora o tem, kako smo bili brez in kako smo sedaj z odrom, z tem gledališčem. Nič teoretiziranja o funkciji spomina in brez akademske debate o prostoru in ustvarjanju le-tega. Ne ujeti se v past kritičnih pogovorov o situaciji umetniške produkcije pri nas ali se vrteli vse preveč okoli stanja kulture v mestu ob Dravi, okoli odnosa do, o, z umetnostjo v Mariboru. Vabljeni in prisluhnite obiskovalcem gledališča, ki se pogovarjajo o svojem gledališču kot že mnogokrat prej in še velikokrat po tem. Tisti petek so se pogovarjali Minca Lorenci, Martina Magdič, Marko Brumen, Davorin Juhart in Miha Horvat. Maribor, 28. 2. 2025

    As part of the Crossings festival 2023 and as a pre-event of the Maribor Theatre Festival, Moment and the Maribor Theatre Festival organised a mini-conference on the theatre work of Forced Entertainment. Forced Entertainment is a group that has been breaking established practices of theatre since its creation in 1984. Their strength, attractiveness and relevance are undoubtedly the result of a unique working process. For 30 years, six artists have defied cynicism and simplification with incredible breadth and openness. They are still exploring, experimenting and looking for answers where many forget to look: on stage. Their performances are full of humour and wit, but at the same time they demand the whole spectator. They are not content with simple and familiar procedures. Their work is strenuous and relentless. The commitment they demand of the spectator is rewarded with profound insights into the being of modern man. The talk with the members of Forced Entertainment (Jerry Killick, Richard Lowdon and Claire Marshall) about their working and operational practices was hosted by: Teja Reba and Uroš Kaurin. This talk from 1st of October in GT22, Maribor with Dr. Müslüm Örtülü (Kurdish center of Public relations - Civaka Azad) sheds light on the abduction and imprisonment of Öcalan and the torture practices of the Turkish state, linking Öcalan’s situation to the broader policies against the Kurdish people. Furthermore, in response to his imprisonment, it discusses the paradigm of Democratic Confederalism as Öcalan’s proposition for a democratic solution, that has been put into practice in Rojava and other parts of Kurdistan.

    Hubert Sauper, director, cinematographer and writer, has been working for the last three decades to reduce the process of making a non-fiction film to almost "zero". His efforts date back to the late 1990s, when in Congo and Tanzania he threw away almost everything that a film crew would normally use. In practice, this means that filming takes place without tripods, cables, artificial lights, a sound crew ... the bare minimum is enough for filming. A small but top-quality camera, a very good microphone and, of course, the most important "ingredient": time spent writing, thinking, researching and, of course, getting to know, really, deeply getting to know the film's characters. "When the camera is rolling, there is nothing in the world but the eyes, the breath, the thoughts, the smiles, or the tears of the protagonists," says the director. All the characters in Hubert's films look the viewer straight in the eye, and the effect is hypnotic. Watching his films such as Darwin's Nightmare (2004), We come as friends (2014) and Epicentro (2020) becomes a profound and enigmatic journey. SLO Režiser, snemalec in pisatelj Hubert Sauper, si zadnja tri desetletja prizadeva, da bi proces ustvarjanja nefikcijskega filma, zmanjšal skoraj na »nič«. Njegova prizadevanja segajo v pozna devetdeseta leta prejšnjega stoletja, ko je v Kongu in Tanzaniji zavrgel skoraj vse, kar filmska ekipa ponavadi uporablja. V praksi to pomeni, da snemanje poteka brez stojal, kablov, umetnih luči, zvočne ekipe ... za snemanje zadostuje popolni minimum. To je majhna, a vrhunska kamera, zelo dober mikrofon in seveda najpomembnejša »sestavina«: čas, ki ga porabimo za pisanje, razmišljanje, raziskovanje in seveda spoznavanje, resnično, poglobljeno spoznavanje filmskih likov. »Ko teče kamera, ni na svetu ničesar drugega kot oči, dih, misli, nasmeh, ali solze protagonistov,« pravi režiser. Vsi liki v Hubertovih filmih gledajo gledalca naravnost v oči in učinek je hipnotičen. Gledanje njegovih filmov, kot so Darwinova nočna mora (2004), Prihajamo v miru (2014) in Epicentro (2020) tako postane globoko in enigmatično potovanje.
