    Today I sat down with Alfalfa Feddersen, and we spent most of our time digging into the real nuts and bolts of hazing and bulldogging at the highest level. He talked about what it’s actually like hazing at the NFR, working with different horses, and how much preparation and feel goes into making those runs work. We also got into his background in steer wrestling, the influence of his family, and the impact of riding a horse like Catfish, who was as dominant as they come. We wrapped things up talking mindset and the bigger picture — everything from bulldogging technique and rodeo strategy to the legacy of guys like Sid Steiner and that winning mentality the Steiner family is known for. Alfalfa shared some great perspective on how rodeo has evolved, where it’s headed as an entertainment sport, and what the future could look like if it continues to grow the right way.
