I knew I needed a change in my life, I just didn’t know what I would do, or how. It took a long time to identify myself as a conceptual artist. To me, that basically means I have a lot of different ideas inventions and visions of self expression that pull me in all directions artistically. It has been extremely overwhelming trying to decide where I should invest my money and time since my concepts are in many different mediums. Sadly, I’ve abandoned many projects simply because I didn't have the materials to execute them.
Long story longer, I had become increasingly disgusted with most of the mainstream music that has been coming out, and finally it came to a head when I realized I had enough money in my pocket at the time I visited the Native Instruments website a month ago. I was sick and tired of not following through with some form of creativity, and I pulled the trigger on the maschine mk3. Had no idea it had just come out. Had no idea it was the best version yet. Had no idea the thanksgiving 50% off sale was on (Got Komplete 11 ultimate for $500). Had no idea when I searched podcasts for maschine, there would be a brand new podcast first of its kind with two seasoned veterans talking about making music for myself.
This podcast has, in 3 episodes, renewed my creative spirit, reminded me of my worth both in life and in artistry, and has made making music to make ends meet a totally plausible reality for me. Thanks guys. I hope to hear a lot more!
